Been using for months now -- work great!
We used to have those cheapo plastic ice cube trays that you had to twist to pop the cubes out. After a few months, they started to crack and the ice would start to taste funny depending on what foods we had in the freezer/fridge. Plus the cubes were too big to fit into my favorite water bottle. A couple times those trays would also accidentally spill. So, we thought we would try these. Lids that clip on after filling, stackable, and silicone so cubes pop out with a push, not a twist. We've been using this set of trays for several months now, and they work perfectly!! The cubes are small enough to fit into our thermal water bottles. They push out with ease. No cracks in the trays. The lids clip on nicely and the ice tastes fresh! Be careful not to overfill - there is a fill line on the inside of the tray. They do the job! no problems. No breakage. happy with our purchase!

Lid keeps ice cubes clean!
I love this cute little tray set with the lids which keep ice cubes clean in the freezer! As long as people understand to "push the tush," to push out the ice cube from the bottom, not twist the tray, which will crack it in half! Some guests broke several of my trays, but fortunately they learned, and the replacement trays were not an expensive lesson! All the 1 star reviews of this wonderful ice cube tray were from people who incorrectly thought you had to twist the tray to remove the ice. DO NOT TWIST THE TRAY! Just "push the tush", push on the silicon bottom of the tray, to pop each ice cube out easily. No Twist, Push the Tush.

Almost there . . .
Stackability with covers is great. Cube size good. If you get water level right (has to be well below top) - easy to remove cubes - if not - it is a painstaking, slow process of pushing two thumbs hard on each cube. Trying to twist to eject cubes if frozen too high has already cracked one tray. Thumb tab on covers has broken off on two. Trays need small levelling channel between cubes - as is - quite difficult to even up water level at the lower level required. Promising - but needs more work!

Super(b) Ice Tray Maker. Full 5 star review below.
About 8 months ago my refrigerator ice maker was having problems. The frig. was quite high quality, but not it's ice maker, since the freezer temperature is controlled by the freezing compartments that are in the lower half of the frig., while the upper half, is for standard food & fluids, which is always set below freezing. However, the upper part of the frig., unfortunately also contains the "ice receptacle maker" which also delivers the cubes on demand. The freezing air it needs is blown into the upper frig. compartment ice maker from a freezing compartment in its lower half. After some 6 years of use, the frig. ice maker was giving me problems, since lower temperature, humid air was leaking into this compartment from the less than perfectly designed, silicone rubber side walls, that leads to much ice forming in the ice maker freezing component itself. I tried to fix this problem, but eventually the ice maker no longer made ice cubes. However, the dispenser tray still worked perfectly well- it just needed ice cubes. Voila! I found that I could fill the working frig. dispenser tray with ice cubes, made first, in an area of the lower freezer compartment. At first, I purchased an ice cube making tray set that could make up to about 70 smallish ice cubes, but they were difficult to get out of their single tray, due to the fact, that the entire ice maker tray was made of solid plastic, and some to many of the ice-cubes were difficult to release easily. So, I went back to Amazon & found another ice cube tray maker, that many readers were quite happy with. So about 6 months ago I purchased the above 4 tray set that is being reviewed herein. It turned out that this set is superbly designed, very easy to use, still functions 100% well, with no breakage of any plastic parts (but I do handle the parts. particularly the thin tray covers with care). Each single tray (of 4 such trays) makes 14 medium sized ice cubes x4 trays overall = 56 cubes in total. It takes about 800 cc to fill the 4 empty trays. What is so superb about these trays, is if you use them correctly, the ice-cubes are very, very easy to remove quickly. To re-fill them again with water for refreezing, takes only a couple of minutes. Their most important component of this ice making tray, is that the bottom of each cube compartment, is made of soft & pliable silicone rubber. Now, this is how I suggest using this set to optimize their function: 1) remove the trays from the frig. freezer compartment and bring them close to the kitchen sink; 2) then run for 2-3 seconds some hot water over the cover of the first tray; 3) then turn over to its bottom silicone side and run some hot water over the entire silicone area of 14 cubes; 4) then place the tray over a large enough receptacle (about 12x8"x2" in size) & twist the tray slightly to at most moderately, after which most, if not all, the cubes will fall into the receptacle; 5) turn over the tray, and if any cubes are left, simply push with a finger on the silicone rubber base to dislodge the remaining cube(s); 6) repeat this procedure for the remaining trays that you decide to use (my needs are for only 3 trays at a time, not four, since my frig. tray only holds 3 trays of cubes before over-fill); 7) next, put the ice cubes into the Frig. ice holder bin and place it back into its frig. bin compartment ASAP, to minimize ice cube melting; 8) refill your empty ice trays with your liquid of choice-- typically plain water. One last item-- The refilling of the trays with water. For this, I found an excellent item from from the "JOIE" Company, which is a 500 cc red & clear measuring cup (with cc and oz markings) that dispenses the water into the trays cube-slots easily and quickly. Fill each cube space to within 1-2 mm from the top of the tray to compensate for expansion of the volume of water after freezing. Hope you will enjoy using these excellently designed & practical ice tray makers, as much as I have, with several months of continuous use, without any damage to date.

Well designed, easy to use, solid materials
The snap on clear tray cover keeps water in the tray as you carry it over, slide into the freezer & stack on top of each other. WRT other trays I have used, the best part is easy cube removal. Simply grab the ends of a tray & twist. And, if a cube remains in place, you push on the flexible bottom of a cube slot and the cube pops out. This all works much better & quicker than other trays I have used.
