CHEAP WHALE CARAVAN SUBMERSIBLE WATER PUMP 12v GP1002

I bought this pump to keep in our caravan as a backup if our external pump fails whilst we’re away using it. However, I’ve hired a motor home for a week, so put a 12v car cigarette lighter-style plug on the end to use it to pump water into the onboard tank. Tried it yesterday and the pump works extremely well - it is quiet running and definitely powerful enough. I’m confident it’ll be a good backup for the caravan even if we have to be a little conservative with our use of taps!

I go through about 1 whale type pump every 2 years in my T5 camper. Usually they seize up if I have left my water tank empty for 6 months. Regardless of the cause, had a few originals and non original whale pumps, and this one is as good as any I've had, works well, quietly and efficiently, and for the money is a bargain.

Pump works well for my needs, namely a separate unit for use with a 10L portable water container. I added a 12v circular plug for ease of use.

Very good pump connected it to the head of the old one and pumps water into my van nomproblem , is a bit slower than the normal pump but can assure you it works fine

Only used twice now pump is running constantly , there's a little hole in one of the recesses and there water is just pumping out the pump itself ,presume it's a small air hole possible to allow the pump to bleed ! Very poor

Replaced Comet pump which was giving weak pressure. Took the old pump off and installed and wired this up with no problem. Way better pressure now.
