U.S. Polo Assn. Men's Cargo Boardshorts

That the Wall Street Journal hasn't yet filed a suit by Ralph Lauren against the maker of these shorts is a bit surprizing. Down to the logo and the brand name they run so close to Ralph Lauren Polo that one could easily think they were. That said, they're great shorts, fit well, launder well and are a convenience in Summer when shorts that can go anywhere from the swimming pool to an informal party are to be desired. They're well made, well thought out, the design fits almost any man. I happen to like shorts of this kind which have a built in "liner" code meaning you don't need underwear although depending on your activity wearing a jock might be a good idea. Are they durable? Ask me next summer as, just now, they're getting a lot of wear. The price is more than right and I fully intend to buy at least one more pair in a lighter colour. That is assuming the Lauren organization doesn't put a legal foot on their neck and halt their sale.

Order size bigger than you think. Not so much in waist and rear. But for lower groin area. Crouch space for much looser and non tear area. I wear large to x large. Xx large are perfect and do not think to big. I wear normally 38 to 40 pants - . - in these I need XXL. I have at least 4 pair. Have at least 6 XL but tear at crouch. If I lift leg to mount bicycle. . Pulls and seams tesr. I live in Hawaii. Perfect cargo - crossover - swimwear shorts.I bought a small hand held sewing machine to sew down below. Only size in crouch is issue. Not quality.Norty brands are nice too in same XXL

Love this style. Couldn't find any bathing suits like this in local market. Amazon had great price. The length of the shorts are perfect. Go to just above the knee. I am 5'8" so I like that look. The waist fits good as well. Has pull string on the front but don't need to use it. It will com in hand when it stretches out over time though. Quality made. Must buy.

I wear a 35" waist and ordered a size M and a L. The Large fit me really nice, but i no longer have much of a butt (don't know where it went?) and if I were a 36 or larger I think the large would be too tight. My take on what I see here is that the M is for a size 30 - 32 and the Large is 33 - 35. So I would say if you think you are at the top end of Large you may want to order a size up. The light colors are somewhat see through when wet, but I wore an athletic supporter under the garment and was fine. I will order a dark color next and expect that won't be a problem.

I wont say I hate them. They looked great, and fit like a glove. I was very disappointed in the integrity of the garment. My first time wearing them, was for only 3 hours, on a pontoon boat sitting, just visiting with family. I started to notice that it had runs in the material. By the time we pulled in to head home, (after only 3 hours), I walked to my car and they split right down the rear inner seam. My poor mother-in-law saw more of me then she ever had wished to see. lol

I've had various swimtrunks over the years, and I definitely prefer the design of these as they're the most visually appealing and look sharp. My only complaint is the crotch area being a bit too low between your thighs. This isn't usually an issue with normal swimtrunks that have a bit of elasticity, but these are starched solid...there's no flex to any of the material. Any extensive movement or swimming causes these to ride up your legs and impairs your mobility in the water. You'll constantly be adjusting these down if you don't want other swimmers to catch a glimpse of your wedding tackle. If you're stationary or just walking, they're fine to wear.Overall, a 3/5 - they're a good product but not what I wanted. I took a risk buying clothing online that I haven't previously worn or sized myself in at a store, so lesson learned.

I lost my old pair of swimming trunks and was sort of glad because I wanted to get a new pair. This seemed like the right price point and right design but i was skeptical of the size. Arrived pretty quickly and I couldn't be happier with the fit and quality. I ordered a large, it is the perfect length for me since I am a tall guy , the material is of good quality and looks good. It has 2 cargo pockets and inner mesh lining. This can be worn not just around the pool but also casually in the summer. Very happy with the purchase.

These are really nice. I was actually surprised because of some of the other reviews. I honestly feel the picture does not do them justice. I thought they were going to fit skinny and tight like the picture ( which I am not a fan of) but they are wider than depicted. I bought this for my husband size large. He is 190lbs and 6 feet tall. He really likes them. I didn't look at the lining on the inside but my husband (who is very opinionated and critical about everything) gave them a thumbs up.
