Nothing compares to the original Buf-Puf. Is it more expensive? Yes. But while most facial sponges will remove excess dirt and some skin, few will leave your face feeling this smooth, clean and renewed after a few uses.I'm a dude. (smile) Here's a story about the various stages at which I used Buf-Puf.And I started using Buf-Puf in high school to combat oily skin. Pretty sure it saved my dating life.As I approached college, I began using Buf-Puf along the nape of the neck, to remove daily dirt and oil build-up, so I wouldn't be one of those guys who constantly got rings around his shirt collar.By the time, I finished school I began using it to lift ingrown facial hairs and fight razor burn and razor bumps. Used in conjunction with a good facial scrub, it will help.Then I got married and lost my hair, as many men do, (and yes, there is a firm connection between these two events - smile) and began using a Buf-Puf prior to shaving my head, because it not only makes my head look cleaner, but it removes mini-blackheads and all the oil and dirt that would normally build up in hair. I do this prior to shaving my head every 2 days.Maybe about 3 years ago, I started using some off-brand at Wal-Green's and it did the job mostly, and I saved $2-4 a box. But what I was missing was that instant feeling of soft, smooth skin. And a sponge that lasted more than 3-4 uses! I'm happy to be back to Buf-Puf. I think all combined, I've been using it for over 30 years!

I had problem with acne as a teenager despite a pharmacist dad that brought home various products to try and a mother that encouraged various makeup line cleanser routines. Once I came across the combination of using an original Buff Puff with Neutrogena Acne soap, my acne was super well controlled, not perfect, but I have never looked back. It's now 50 years later and I'm still using the same combination. At times I've been able find cheap scrubbie pad knockoffs at the drugstore that work pretty good, but they're no longer available so I'm back to the original Buff Puff, and I now again remember how far superior it is. Please, please don't ever take it off the market.

I have been using the products similar to this that are available in my local Sally Beauty. Those are made of layers which have not held up. They flatten out and become separated, plus they lose their texture. I suspected that those offered where you get 10 or more for the price of the 3-pack buff puff might be of the same poor quality so I didn't try them. This Buff Puff is one piece and is holding its shape quite well. It's also good and rough without being too rough to exfoliate my face. I feel the actual Buff Puff brand will last a long time and I'm glad it's available.

This gently cleans my face and removes the dead skin. It leaves it soft and smooth. I have been using them for years!!

This gentle sponge is good to remove make-up remnants that facial wipes leave and to exfoliate tender, sensitive skin like your face.
