Maybe my favorite cereal- ever?
I have become addicted to this. It has just enough fruit flavor and sweetness without resorting to using a ton of artificial sweeteners or sugars. I love the organic ingredients and it stays crunchy siting in a bowl of milk. The downside is that there seems to be less in a box than other cereals making a high price point but the trade off is organic, low-sugar goodness.

Great AIP Snack!
This is a gem!! Best AIP compliant cereal out there so it gets 5 stars!! I love the unique fruity flavor. Most AIP cereals taste like bark or too coconuty (not in a good way either). It’s nice to pretend I’m eating fruit loops. It’s a sweet cereal, and it is sticky. Sometimes sticks together in clumps and you have to break apart to pour in a bowl. Although that could be from humidity this summer. They are sticky to the touch if you eat them as snack from the box. I only found this to be true with the flavored ones (I tried them all-yummy!). The stickiness is from the honey (obv). That said, if you’ve been strict AIP and haven’t had any natural sugars in your diet for a while, go slow!! Getting too excited and eating half the box in one sitting could shock/spike your system. They are sweet to the taste but not too sweet. Just right. The strawberry it true strawberry flavor not fake. With the right amount of tart. I love that there are only 5 ingredients. Best part is that they do not get soggy in coconut milk. They have the most fantastic crunch! I missed that crunch so much. I missed cereal! Unfortunately (for me) my bones/joints seem to react to cassava in the same way they react to inflammatory foods on the “do not eat” list for AIP. Really sucks because AIP is a million times easier with homemade cassava tortillas and now this cereal! I’ve tried all the flavors of this cereal except for cacao (not AIP compliant). I like them all the same, but maybe a slight lean toward strawberry as my favorite. It’s pricey at $9.99 a box, but worth it. I can get 3-4 decent size bowls of cereal from one box. Sometimes they are on sale at Wholefoods for $7. I like to cut up bananas and put them in the plain version of this cereal. Sadly, bananas are another trigger food for me that cause inflammation. Which is equally disappointing because snacking on banana chip was another crunchy way to stay AIP compliant. Oh well, at least I know now what is actually causing the pain. Best of luck to those on or beginning the AIP journey. It’s the hardest diet out there but entirely worth it. This box of cereal just made it a million times easier for those that can eat cassava! One last bit of hope. I was invited to a neighbors for lunch. The kryptonite to AIP is dinner invites, luncheons, and parties. Where you have little control over the food and sound like a crazy person when you start listing off all the things you can’t eat. Or when you say you can have steak as long as it is grass fed and doesn’t have butter or any peppers or seed based spices on it. Anyway, back to my neighbor. She invited me over for lunch. I never made any mention about AIP. I figured I would just pay the consequences the next day. To my surprise, she made turkey soup with cassava elbows. She’s not AIP or even gluten free. While I can only do cassava in small doses, it gave me hope that the world is catching on to cleaner eating, much like the makers of this delicious cereal!

Oh snap, I’m in trouble
I’m pretty sure I have tried every single grain-free cereal out there, and have had experiences ranging from bad, to flatly inedible. Most have a weird styrofoam texture, and all are so expensive! It makes me hesitate to try any new ones. But I tried this, and wow, I’m just blown away! Its texture is fantastic! It retains its texture in milk, and stays crunchy. Very lightly sweet, and as another reviewer noted, I pick up more lemon flavor than anything else, but it works for me! My only complaint and the biggest drawback, is the price, and the amount you get. Nearly 14.00 for 7 ounces really is too much. I don’t like it when companies try to stick it to people who, for whatever dietary reason, can’t or don’t want to eat regular cereal, and so they “know” that desperate seekers will pay up for a cereal experience. And we do! But I would buy way more, and way often, if I didn’t feel I was being somewhat taken advantage of. I’d be more willing to pay the 14.00 for 12-14 ounces, or pay like, $8-9 for the 7oz. So, I’ll probably buy one more box, and get the craving out of my system, and then not buy any for quite a while. It’s too bad, really.

Gotta love Lovebird!
This is my fave of their cereals but all the flavors have been great. (I don't eat chocolate but I have a sneaking suspicion that those varieties are great, as well.) Super-healthy, thoughtful ingredients and a fantastic end result. Speaking of, this company also taught me that buckwheat is not a grain! Which if you are eating AIP is really welcome news. We need all the options we can get. And this brand makes several great ones. Really appreciate that.

Doesn't taste like strawberry
This review is specifically for the strawberry flavor. I wanted to love it, but this cereal has lemon oil in it, and it makes the cereal taste more like lemons than strawberries. If you're ok with that, then go ahead and buy the cereal. It's a great option if you're like me and can't eat wheat or corn, which is what most cereals are made from.

Very upset with updated ingredients. Bring original version back!
UPDATE: after buying the second box I realized that they changed ingredients. They have added buckwheat. It gives a strong aftertaste and I hates it. Will not buy again. Very sad as my family loved this cereal. So disappointed they changed the recipe. Very clean ingredients and surprisingly good taste. My kid is very picky about cereals but loves this one. It stays crunchy and doesn’t get soggy quickly. Cannot wait to try chocolate flavor. The only downside is the price.
