Great special effects filter
This is such a fun filter to keep in your camera bag. Simply attach it to your lens, rotate the filter to your likings and click the shutter, that's all there is to it. The fact that it's not a fixed filter and you can rotate it makes it versatile. If you have a subject near the cross star, you can rotate the filter so that a beam does not cover or partially cover their face. This is a fun filter to have.

great for stylized photoshoots
I've seen some photoshoots where this filter was used and I just had to get one for myself. It's as simple as adding a filter to your lens and rotating it to get the desired angles you like. These work best when you have strong light sources like light bulbs or reflections on mylar balloons.

It's ok
The star image I was expecting isn't always 6 points. Some time only 1/2 show up and sometimes it double to 12 stars. So I guess it may require some learning curves. The filter itself seems to be well made, and no issue mounting on the lens.I've noticed also that the star shape varies depends how far you are from light.I'll keep playing more for I did have a few good start shots (about 30% of times).

No stars
I use analog cameras. I tested out this filter where I thought would be most “starry”. Sun hitting the ocean. Middle of summer in Hawaii, bright sun on the ocean? Nope. No stars at all. Disappointed. Save your money for a different one.

Very Strong effect the best I have ever used.
Walkingway are the best star filters I have ever used. Very strong effect I never feel like I'm struggling to see the star pattern.

Fun!
This star filter is gimmicky but a lot of fun to play with. It mounts easily and no problem removing. Well made, especially when you consider how inexpensive it is. The stars vary according to your technique and part of the fun is discovering how to affect the results.A very inexpensive way to have fun experimenting with something different.
