Action Comics #1000: 80 Years of Superman (Deluxe Edition)

Brilliant book but I am biased as I have been a fan of Superman for sixty years and have read some of the original stories in the book. Also bought one for my young grandson who was delighted to receive it.

Very enjoyable

Unlike another reviewer, I knew exactly what I was getting which is a collection of Superman stories with a few essays, lots of covers, and a good collection of biographies at the end. In some ways this is a display of the visual evolution of mainstream comic book super-hero art with the first and still the most famous example of this comics sub-genre as a paradigm. I love it.

I have been a big Superman comic book fan since 1962 and this book bought so many memories flooding back.Some great articles by past writers and artists.A must have book for anyone with a love of comics in general and Superman in particular.

GREAT CONDITION BOOK AT A VERY GOOD PRICE

Well, it’s quite nice, it’s a big anniversary after all, and it’s good to have on the shelf. But...John Byrne is virtually ignored apart from the inclusion of one story....not even his best one. BUT...and be warned....there is no poster of all 1000+ covers which is very disappointing. Almost sent it back... UPDATE: I did send it back.

Been a superman comic fan for over sixty years, only wish I still had the superman and other comics that my father destroyed because he didn't think kids should be reading such junk, they should be reading Field & Stream and Outdoor Life magazines. The 80 years of Superman were great and passed away a lot of snowy nights when the lights went out, enjoyed them immensely, if you are a Superman fan this is the book for you.

Uma coletânea maravilhosa de histórias que fazem parte desses longos anos do personagem. Com bastante texto explicativo e informativo, recomendo demais a edição. Uma pena nunca ter saído aqui no Brasil. A edição está maravilhosa, recomendo demais aos fãs do homem de aço.
