MUST HAVE for a backyard in the south
My coworker told me about this, I was a skeptical but after about 2 weeks I could walk outside without slapping all the skeeters off! It really works. Bought my nephew one for Christmas. Emptied mine the first time and was SHOCKED at the sheer number of mosquitos it caught. Wish I had this 20 years ago and not that annoying zapper!!

Work really well
While we have this up and on, we are virtually bug free.

It works u-u
I like the fan trap alternative, it’s much quieter, maybe less fulfilling than hearing zaps. But now they can die in a cage slowly >:DIdk how they think the cage can keep no see ums. Tiny 3mm gnats can climb right out.I also think the seller is fantasizing that wasps/hornets can get caught by it. If thats truly the case, I’m going to try using this thing as a paper shredder. The cage is kept closed by lightly counter balanced flaps. If you tip the trap, the flaps open, and you are greeted by a tsunami of blood locusts. The trap is top heavy so god forbid you knock it over after imprisoning your green belt ankle biters.Ive been running this indoors and it works well at night when all the lights are off.God forbid the wind kicks it over at night. I tested this out in an infested area outside, it tipped over in my car on the way back home. Should’ve freakin emptied it. BLOODY HELL.My dad thought I was cruel for buying this. I swear he hinted that I should CATCH AND RELEASE mosquitoes. Absolutely.. NOT.Worth a buy if you want something safer to touch. If it REALLY DOES catch hornets, bring pepper spray.

Could be better
If the bug happens to fly by it works pretty good, but bugs are not flocking to it. They make it seem like this light highly attracts bugs, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Bug reduction, but doesn't eliminate them.

light never worked like it should.
From the beginning the light would not make a good connection and it would have a very dim look. If you turned it just right it would light up brighter as it should for a while. Never got anywhere with customer service, after sending photos and bringing my issue to their attention. Never even offered a new bulb, to see if it would fix it. I have owned the 1 Acre unit for years and got good service from it. This half acre size is one fourth the size of the Acre size I own. This unit and the material it is made of is cheap, and a regrettable final purchase of any of their products in the future.

Good Quality, Easy to Set Up
A friend recommended these. We bought one, and now have bought two more. They do capture a lot of moths and hopefully mosquitoes, and it is easy to empty the capture tray.Just note that the 1/2 acre version has a much more robust cord that the 1/4 acre. I wouldn't buy the 1/4 acre for anything, it's power supply is cheaply made and you have to use a power adapter for it, so you can't really use it out of door, or at least only on your covered patio.
