This jar of Crushed Calabrian Chili Peppers In Oil Glass comes exactly as advertised. I like that they ship this in a box, and so it is (under most circumstances) guaranteed to arrive intact. It is also elegantly packaged as well.The chili peppers are quite hot, hotter than I expected in fact. Also, it is worth noting that because these include the seeds, and pepper linings, they can be a bit of a digestive irritant for those who aren't used to eating hot peppers. Moreover, these seem to be made with peppers that have been thoroughly sun-dried, at least this is what they remind me of. The reason I mention this is because, the skin of sun dried peppers gets a bit tougher, and since the pieces in this jar are not finely chopped/crushed, you will notice the chewiness of the peppers.That said, this chili sauce is quite versatile to use. I mix this with mayonnaise for that extra oily spicy kick, and it tastes great with focaccia.One last thing, since this is not ground or creamed or pureed, it may not fall into what many might consider sauce. This is very textured, more chopped than anything else, as it is essentially crushed peppers in oil.

While it's not, I really like the flair and appeal, making it stand out as a sort of artisan ingredient in my pantry full of ordinary supermarket-shelf jars. The expiration date was clearly stamped on the product (11/2026), and it included a detailed list of ingredients, nutritional data, and even a caution about potential allergen contamination.The flavor of the crushed peppers is about what I expected: robust, savory, and a nice heat to it. I immediately added some to my "pepper pasta" for an extra kick, and the dish was a hit. I look forward to using it in other pasta or pizza sauces, a spoonful to jazz up the next batch of hummus, and am even contemplating a spicy calabrian salad dressing. This is the kind of ingredient that invites creativity! A word of caution: I did not see any obvious preservatives listed in the ingredients, so I plan to use as much as possible over the next few days and freeze the rest in small cubes to make sure to preserve the freshness.

This is super delicious and goes well with any kind of red sauce meal. I added it to my red sauce pasta knowing that it may be spicy. Unfortunately, it didn't give me the spice that I was reading about in the reviews, but it gives it a nice texture and I love the smell and flavor it put in my pasta. It seems like it was well made and sealed. No issues with placing it in the fridge for another meal the next day. I think it would be good to dip mozzarella sticks or cheesy bread in!

I love the packaging on this Calabrian Chili spread. It is an appreciated attention to detail that made me smile when I opened it.The spread itself has that great Calabrian Chili heat and tastes great. Even if you just get a bit of oil with no peppers, it has great heat and flavor. A little goes a long way, and this should last a while. The expiration on my bottle is Nov 2026. I didn't see it on the package, but I refrigerated after opening.I plan to add this to homemade pasta sauce, bruschetta, Italian sandwiches and garlic bread to name a few. Everyone can add as much as they like to their desired heat level.

Super tasty has just the right amount of heat that I want from these types of Chili Peppers. So far I've used it in a lot of Italian dishes such as pizzas and pastas and it has a nice kick flavor and Heat. a very versatile product that is also packaged very well in a nice glass jar making this a beautiful gift basket item for anyone who loves cooking or trying new foods.
