7 Planet Necklace,Solar System Handmade Charm Necklace with double-sided glass crystal ball for female teachers

As a former amateur astronomer (former only because I moved to a city with extreme light pollution) I was delighted to find this and knew I had to have it. To call this necklace beautiful and unique is an understatement. I don't care that Venus and Saturn are not included (I am still upset over Pluto being downgraded) and that the moon and sun are incorporated in the design, I only care that it is beautiful. A hint to those who find it twisting around - examine the chain and you will see that it is a loose design that has little structure. Try holding the necklace clasp end up with the planets falling downward, run your fingers over the chain and it will spiral and straighten, follow through to the planets and the other side of the chain. This usually removes the twists in the chain allowing it to lay flat.

I love it! Everyone who has seen me wearing it has spent several minutes talking to me about how wonderful it is. It is definitely the most unique piece I own. I cannot wait to buy one for my daughter, who has wanted to take it from me since the second she saw it.

After I got it for my wife she asked what each one was as she tried to figure it out by order of the planets it of course is out of natural order (Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune) instead have (Neptune Earth Mercury Moon Sun Jupiter Mars) so it seems odd if you are making a solar system why leave off 3 planets secondly if you are making part of the solar system why not have them in order? and why are small planets large and large ones small just seems odd. I think it is pretty but maybe they could have tried a little harder to make it more for people that are into astronomy.

The box arrived with a nice little pouch that you can keep in for gift giving purposes. Actually even the box itself is nice enough to be a gift box!When I first pulled out the necklace, I thought it might look a little tacky like what a teenager would wear. But when I put it on, it actually looks cute! Definitely wearable by adults and not tacky at all.The necklace is very well made and the print is really vibrant. No off-center moon or anything, it's all perfectly centered. I got the silver instead of bronze chain and I'm glad because silver matches my skin tone better. And since the necklace has so many colors, it's quite easy to match it with different colored clothes.I've worn this out a few times with different outfits and it's attracted compliments from strangers without fail every single time! I've other unique statement pieces too that gets compliments but this necklace is really a crowd favorite!

Girlfriend was shunned at a Neil Degrass Tyson presentation last week. SHUNNED! OK, not shunned but it was embarrassing, "irregardless".Would you PLEASE respond? Oh, and PLEASE send Mercury. Its missing Mercury... you Sizist... Or Solarist. Maybe you guys just hate the sun.Jupiter is nicely done tho. Replaced chain with dark matter(blk leather).

This is actually my second one of these necklaces! My other one has bigger charms and brass hardware, and I love it so much that I decided to get a second one. This version has all the high points of the other: heavy cabochons over crisp pictures of the planets - and they're double-sided! The only issues are the domes are the tiniest bit cloudy, and the chain is too long to wear at a length to display the planets properly. I have the tools to shorten the chain and move the clasp, but if you don't, just be aware that this necklace hangs pretty low!

This is such a pretty necklace and arrived quickly, I wanted to give it 5 stars but the clasp broke only a few hours later on the same day it arrived. Not a big deal, but I was slightly disappointed because I wanted to wear it and show it off.It is heavier than I imagined, but great quality (other than the clasp.) I did buy this on sale for $20, but if I had paid full price $80 - I would have had to give it two/three stars for a somewhat expensive necklace that broke before I could wear more than thirty minutes. Still - it is beautiful and unique, and I recommend since the only flaw was the clasp. I assume the clasp broke only because of the surprising weight of the planets, the chain itself was a complimentary burnished bronze/gold. And while the necklace is heavier than expected, it's not uncomfortable but you will definitely notice if the clasp breaks.Note: The colors are way more vibrant than shown in pictures, the lighting in my room is to blame for that.

I’m glad that so many people are having a good experience with these, however that is not the case for me.They are as pretty as the picture makes them appear. They are also huge. I intended to wear these in my second and third hole, however due to their size, it is not feasible. Both earrings in my third hole fell out while I slept. One of the ones in the second hole fell out at some point today but I don’t know when.The issue is the rubber backs that were sent with these earrings. If I can’t find another set of backs to work with them, I’ll be returning them.Incredibly disappointed.
