Does the job.
First use today. The only negative on this product is the supplied tools. The screwdriver end should be on the short side of the 90 degree bend, leaving a longer lever to hold while tightening the two locking nuts.It is very portable due to the screw together parts. It is very solid once you have screwed the poles together. There is zero movement in the joints. The blade is very sharp. At first I thought the blade's flexibility would be a downside but it actually assists in gaining access to densley packed branches. It took a short while to get used to a blade designed to cut as you pull. A storage bag would have been a nice addition and a plastic blade guard. I can certainly recommend this tool.

Cheap and competent
I purchased this as I couldn't reach the top branches of a tree with my 4m Fiskars UPX86 tree lopper. This was also a struggle reaching the top branches, but with a bit of perseverance, I just about managed to get the job done. The handle is a good design and ensures a bit of rigidity in the handle when extended. The short metal pieces screw together quickly and come apart quickly too.The saw blade itself is very flexible though and that made it a little bit jumpy when reaching those top branches, but the hooked ends help to control the saw blade somewhat and also aid pulling down those branches when they get stuck in the other branches as they are falling once sawed. The hooked top also allowed me to snap some thin branches which were just to thin to saw.For the reach and the price - which was just under £40 when purchased, it was amongst the cheapest and best reviewed models and as it succeeded in the getting the job done for me, then I would say it's a good deal and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it for the task as described above. Some have commented that the screws were missing, or the holes didn't line up, but thankfully I had no issues with either regard. The tools are supplied to fix this together (small 10mm spanner and phillips cross head screwdriver), but I found the bolts were a little bit tight and might be a struggle for elderly and weaker people.

Time to trim the willow tree!
Sturdy handle and well-fitting poles that are fairly lightweight. The blade is extremely sharp and cuts really well through the 2" to 3" branches of my willow tree. The saw blade became stuck at one point when I started cutting a horizontal branch from the bottom. As the cut went halfway through the weight of the branch trapped the blade in the cut. I had to do then what I was trying to avoid and climb up to free it. Lesson learned and I cut down from the top in the rest of the branches . I think this purchase was a very worthwhile one. A local tree surgeon quoted nearly £400 for the work I did in a couple of hours with this saw. The hardest part was cutting all the branches down to size to fit in the back of the car.

Great buy !
This great for old codgers like me ! Easy to use on my overgrown trees and shrubs, lots of extensions pieces so lots of options on the height and still lightweight to use. Works well, very happy with my purchase.

Surprisingly Good.
I am a professional user and I was sceptical when purchasing this item but have been pleasantly surprised with it's quality. I bought it specifically for it's modular handle. I find these to be easier and safer to use in restricted spaces (I use these whilst tree climbing quite often) than the often more expensive telescopic handles which even when fully collapsed are often around 2m long + the blade length. Having the ability to choose the overall length in increments of 50cm is very useful. The blade itself is good. it's stiffer than some and I prefer this. It's not spectacular but as long as it's used to cut green wood primarily, it should hold it's edge for a good while. What could make this better? A cover for the blade would be great. I'd happily pay more for that. As it is, I'll have to improvise one or keep it separate from the disassembled handle. I personally prefer a blade without the "hook" at the tip. I appreciate this has a use to stop the blade from pulling out of the cut but i find it frustrating in dense growth to get into position. A hook on the base of the blade would be better. When I say "hook" I'm using this to hang the whole tool in a nearby branch whilst I climb..So.. a surprised four out of five for this baring in mind it's price.
