Bought these for my nephews fifth birthday and he was so excited. As a child of course he still likes to throw things and of course he did, but they didnt break or scratch. The bugs are very well put together with amazing detail.

My only wish is that I could find bigger bugs!! My 5 year old did live this gift though. Brought it to church to show everyone. Lol

I appreciate how cleat the resin is, without bubbles or other imperfections that could diminish the ability to examine the specimens. The resin blocks are small, so they don't take up a lot of space on your desk or bookcase, and they make frequent conversation starters when noticed. I'll have to wait to determine durability, but so far, things are going well.

[Note: This is showing up under the 6 piece set, but what I was sent for review was a 4 piece set. The 4 piece set did not include a magnifying glass.]The most impressive thing about these is that there are no bubbles or pockets in the resin. The specimens are all of good quality. The vendor's description includes the term "paperweight". These are far too light to function meaningfully as paperweights. As something that a kid could enjoy playing with or examining, however, I think that these are great! I like them very much.

This is a great set of resin-encased bug cubes and I particularly like this collection that included a spider and a scorpion. The magnifying glass is a good addition, too. On the downside, there was no identifier including the bugs' names included and the plastic storage case arrived with a broken clasp. The bugs themselves are fun to look at, though.

These are great! There's too much space between the specimens and the edge of the resin on some sides to focus on it with a handheld microscope, but it's great for examining them in detail with a magnifying glass. No cockroaches in this set. (I wouldn't have purchased such a set.) Nice, clean pours with view bubbles and little if any contamination.
