Easy to Understand
I review several books on furoshiki and this one was the easiest to follow. It covers different shapes and is very helpful in knowing how much material to use for each design. Every time I wrap a gift (every Christmas), I hear how Amazing my gifts look. Best Part: Recycling for the environment. I don't need to buy more wrapping paper or the universal party bags.

Fantastic!
What a super book....great idea with easy to understand instructions. Have wrapped several Christmas gifts already (all with my sewing room stash fabric) and am looking forward to wrapping gifts throughout the year. Also planning to shop for lots of pretty charity shop scarves to use as wrapping. This is much more creative and fun than ordinary paper wrapping.

Fabric Wraps: Useful and Decorative
I actually purchased two of these books to give to family members who expressed an interest. I definitely like the idea of wrapping gifts in decorative material that can be used for additional purposes, rather than in paper that just gets thrown out. Great idea. I first became acquainted with the idea of Furoshiki Fabric wraps when I found a Japanese bundle wrap at a resale shop. I had no idea what it was when I bought it, but it was a fabric that I liked, and a size that seemed very useful. Once I googled Japanese Bundle Wrap, I discovered Furoshiki! and the rest is history!

Fresh ideas for fabric, and energy savings
I was amazed at the beautiful fabrics that were created for the book, and how beautiful they looked wrapped! With these tips, you will never need to buy wrapping paper, or a tote bag again. And those gifts of a bottle of wine or a book for a friend? They can be really special looking using an interesting fabric. Directions are really well laid out and simple. I can't wait to get started!

Attractive Carryalls
I know the State of Maine is soon going to ban plastic bags, so this is an attractive way to carry your groceries, I only hope I become proficient at fabric wrapping before it becomes a real issue. Going to have to look into how to make my fabrics water resistant to condensation a true killer of fabric fibers.

Such fun
My husband is from Japan and introduced me to Furoshiki, this is one of the books that I purchased several years ago and have now purchased more to give to friends. I always wrap presents with Furoshiki, I use scarfs, remnants from the fabric store and Japanese clothes, which are more expensive but gorgeous. I can't remember the last time I purchased wrapping paper. It makes your gifts more special when that are wrapped this way, plus it is recycle, the receiver can use it to wrap a present for someone else.

Lots of new ideas
I've been collecting books on furoshiki so I wasn't sure this one give me new ideas. Surprise! What I loved about this book were the new design ideas for furoshiki cloths. Now I don't have to be limited to the cloth available but look at other ways to custom-design my wraps. Thanks Pixieladies!

sehr hilfreich
Im Gegensatz zu Wrapping with Fabric: Your Complete Guide to Furoshiki-The Japanese Art of Wrapping wird hier nicht jeder Handgriff Bild für Bild gezeigt. Brilliant ideas!
In an age where everything is disposable it is so refreshing to come across a concept that is both Eco-friendly and has stood the test of time! This book shows how to use fabric in novel ways to wrap and present gifts etc. the fabric can be part of the gift and the authors have very kindly offered a link to their web site to download small tags with the instructions how to re-wrap the fabric.I love the designs that form shopping bags...great idea and easy to carry...and can double up as a wrap!Highly recommend!
