Practical Advice from Someone Doing It
First off, I am not an affiliate for Clint or his practice or extensions thereof.I have been following Clint's YouTube channel for about 2+ years after creating my first LLC via a CPA and my own ambition to work for myself. I was big on asset protection but I was ignorant on the methodology and implementation of such strategies. After years of reading books and learning about asset protection I stumbled upon Clint's YouTube videos and his practice 'Anderson Business Advisors--they were the real deal. When you look long enough you know what you're looking for. After reading Clint's previous books and his business partner's books on tax and wealth building I founda team who had the answers I was looking for that I could not find after reading several books or speaking with CPAs or lenders. More importantly is Clint has "front-line" experience in executing his own strategies and owns many properties and still does deals and learns from his clients. Clint uses the strategies he speaks of. He is not telling you about theories but what works and what gets you sued.Clint has matured in his knowledge as evidenced by his older YouTube videos and books compared to this new release 'Next Level Real Estate Asset Protection'. This book is concise and covers many proven asset protection strategies with a focus on overall business growth and endurance or the "3 legged stool" concept Clint speaks about. The many stories Clint tells from his experience demonstrates how poor and good asset protection strategies can cost/save a business/investor thousands. Foundational planning is key. Proactive vs. Reactive.I am currently in touch with Clint's practice who have built a mock plan around my long-term investment goals and I am happy to choose his team after a long search for the right folks to work with.P.S. - I've personally learned the most important aspect of protection is not your LLC or C-Corp...it is your operating agreement (Trusts get an honorable mention).

Possibly the most valuable real estate book I own
First off, my disclaimer. I actually enjoy studying and understanding the legal side of things (contract verbiage & clause details, case law, etc) so I may be slightly biased in how interesting I portray this book. That being said, I would go so far as to say this is likely the most valuable real estate book I own. Mr. Coons gives you everything you need to understand his points and uses clear and concise examples. The style of writing is easy to read (I finished in just over a day) and is an entertaining mix of storytelling, accessibility, and technical legal brilliance. Just about every major topic is covered and from a more wholistic point of view from the standard legal entity structure conversation. He constantly references the need to check in on the bigger picture for your real estate efforts whether you're a long term type of person, a wholesaler, or even a commercial investor.Mr. Coons arms you with enough information to feel confident about pursuing the right path but also cautions that a case specific approach must be utilized and therefore could not include such details that would either turn the book into a dry legal tome or empower the reader so much so as to inspire them to do things on their own, which he discourages because the law is complex and situational.Whether you're just getting started or you've been an REI for 30 years, this book will have something to teach you. If this isn't already on your bookshelf, do yourself a favor and get it now (and write it off while you're at it).

Asset protection is like car insurance: You might not always need it, but it can save your life.
For anyone who is starting in their real estate rental investing, this book is a must-read. Whether you invest in real estate as a full-time venture or as an adjunct to other income streams, real estate investing is a business. It can provide money, growth, and security for you well into the future. When you start to treat your real estate investing as a business, you will begin to move into a position of strength instead of one of fear and passive reactivity. Clint Coons' latest book will help you get started, as well as refine your current strategies. Good luck!

Very well written and informative
Great expansion on Coons previous Book Asset Protection. Very clearly written and a useful guide to further venturing into real estate investing. Coons makes these intimating topics easier to understand and tangible with analogies like "the three-legged stool" and stories to help keep an otherwise tedious topic engaging and useful. Highly recommend!
