The three works presented here have all been recorded for the very first time. They aim to add a small contribution to the revival of the unpublished (and undeservedly forgotten) music by this composer. Their opus numbers are 81, 99 and 172. They are typical music for drawing-room performances, more or less a tribute to the "great classics", Mozart, Haydn and Beethoven: it is no coincidence that the second movement of the Sonata no. 1 op. 81 Poco Allegretto echoes Mozart's early composition Aria Moderata for solo piano. For these three opuses, we used the first printed editions from the nineteenth century, and deliberately performed and recorded all the ritornellos and a capos that are marked on these scores; we also faithfully carried out all the other musical directions given by Carulli.
