Perfect size & powerful - easy to use & holds charge! The functionality of this UV light is great! I've used it for many things already, including showing reactivity of some of my rock collection. It's design is perfect for my hand, not too heavy and the wrist strap is perfect because I tend to lose them! The best part is how bright it is... straight out of the box, once I read the instructions and removed the end cap to get the paper out so the battery could connect, it was fully charged and ready to go!! I haven't even had to charge it up yet!! Still on 4 blue lights!! That's one of the coolest features, so I'll know when to recharge it, and it flashes at you when it's shutting off too... I would buy this again!!

I take this with me everywhere in case I come across uranium or manganese glass. I think I’ve seriously only needed to charge it twice in the last 8 or 9 months- the battery holds up very well. It’s nice and bright and works well for antique glass hunters!

It is much more effective at finding urine stains than typical 395 nm flashlights. My 395 nm light has a deep violet glow, and the stains are faint; this device emits a visually turquoise glow to illuminate the beam, but 360 nm is completely invisible unless it shines on something fluorescent such as dried urine, which will glow brilliantly. For safety I suggest wearing glasses or goggles that filter out UV. This is easy to test by shining the beam on something like cotton or white paper, which will glow brightly. Put the safety glass between the beam and the object, and it should be dark. Even so, it is not a good idea to look directly at the beam even with safety glasses.
