Excellent Fit and Quality
Pros: Good comfortable fit. Very well made, stout, good stitching. Lightweight. Looks like the inner sole was sewn in and glued which should give a long service life. Wore for two hours in the snow/slush and feet kept dry and warm. Very good YKK zipper. If you have a sticky zipper use ordinary hand soap to lubricate it. As I said, they fit VERY well. I am very pleased. The heel box and toe box is a good fit for me. Boots are good looking and very well made, and should last a long time. HIghly recommend. Also would like to say their customer service is FIVE STAR. They are VERY responsive. Hats off to IVY who was VERY helpful - thank you Ivy and Happy New Year.Cons: Haven't found any.

Great Boots for The Bucks!!
My previous pair of BATES Boots simply disintegrated after being in my house in Florida. Found these on AMAZON, the reviews were above average for them so why not! Size 12W. Often I need a 13W to accommodate my wide feet.Upon arrival they looked Great! I absolutely love the side zipper, reminds me of my Old Corcoran Jump Boots. Pop them on zip em up and Good To Go!! I like the little Velcro Tab to keep the Zipper Closed. Not too heavy, or clunky. Break in no problem, these will be Great Riding Boots, Great Boots for the Bucks!! 👍😎

8" Better Than 6"
I have bought the 8 inch Nortiv 8 boots before and they were very comfortable. These 6 inch Nortiv 8 boots are less comfortable mostly because the shaft is shorter.Because the shaft is shorter, the opening is narrower and makes it harder to get my foot into the boot The 8 inch boot opens wider (probably because the shaft is taller) and the shaft acts as a shoe horn to help guide my foot into the boot.Because the shaft is shorter, the collar rubs against my leg above the ankle as I walk. A little bit more padding on the collars of these boots would have fixed the problem. The collar of the 8 inch shaft sits higher on my calf and does not move much relative to my leg as I walk.Other than these shortcomings, the 6 inch boots are as comfortable as the 8 inch boots and require little break in. These boots have a lot of grip (on dry pavement) so be careful to not make sudden turns so as not to twist your ankles.Another minor issue is the way the boots were packaged. They arrived with the laces going from the outside through the eyelets to the inside (see pictures). To tie the boots, I have to first pull the laces out of the top eyelets. (I do not know how to tie the boots from the inside, fcol.) The problem is there are eyelets on the outside of the boots, but only holes on the inside. This makes the hard ends of the laces difficult to line up with the eyelets and be pulled through. This took quite a bit of effort as I didn't want to damage the laces in case I have to return these boots. I wish Nortiv 8 would just lace these boots ready to be used than to make them look good. This would not be a problem if you wear your boots like the models with the ends of the laces tucked inside your boots!!

Good Boot - Good Price
This is a good boot especially for the price. This is the third pair of Nortiv 8 boots that I have purchased. First pair just went in the trash after two years of daily use. Footbed was toast. Second pair now my daily on my feet work boots and new pair for Sunday Go to Meeting. Some details have changed over time but overall, the same boot. Light, comfortable and darn tough, what's not to like? Thinking about laying back another pair while I can get 'em!

Good Boot
I have worn Bates boots as my go to duty boot for decades, but at over $170 a pair the price is too high. I saw these and the look was very similar so I thought I’d try them. So far the work great and fit nicely. I work in a northern climate so I walk in a lot of slush and water, and these seem to keep my feet dry. There was a little pinch at the ankle at first, but that went away after a week of breaking them in. Overall, a reasonable replacement so far at a high price difference. I would buy them again.

Nice for the price
The boots are light and comfortable. They tend to run a little small. I usually wear 8.5 in men's but had to return them for 9's and they fit good. I like the side zipper access for quick deployment while camping. But these are harder to put on than other brands I have owned with zippers. The zipper is angled and the webbing behind the zipper is way too tight. So much that you cannot get your foot in it with just the zipper open. You also have to loosen the laces also. That kind of defeats the purpose of the zipper access. The webbing does not stretch far enough for you to get your foot in so I had to cut part of the webbing out to make it possible to slip your foot in and it is still very difficult. Other than that, they are lightweight and protect your feet very well after you waterproof them.

Lightweight
I have been wearing Bates Boots for years, not realizing that these were a different brand I purchased the Nordiv 8.I was incredibly impressed by the craftsmanship, how lightweight they were, and how I could wear them to work a full day, not even feel uncomfortable like you do when you normally break in a new pair of bootsThe price was fantastic, I ended up ordering a second pair before the sale ended and wish I still brought a third. These are really great boots. I highly recommend them!

Excelentes botas para motociclistas, cómodas de buen terminado, protegen pie y tobillo. Ligeras pero de muy buena construcción. Con el cierre lateral no las tienes que desabrochar para quitártelas. 100% recomendadas.
