This hardware was a great match with the hard, rooftop car carrier we purchased from Academy Sports. It was much sturdier than the original hardware. A little bit off with the original width of the brackets, but my husband was able to make new holes so it lined up — easy day. 👍 Would definitely recommend the hardware set.

Good quality from what I can tell. I used these on a sears x-cargo XL box and a Thule Sidekick. I had to drill new holes, but after an 8 hour drive they were still holding strong!

Used this package to mount a Thule box (Mountaineer 669 from year 2001) on a 2022 Subaru Outback. Enlarged the mounting holes in Thule box to make a snug fit on the Subaru’s rooftop crossbars. The Thule box stayed firmly on top of the Subaru after 800+ miles road trip without any issue.
