Walker Edison Espresso Wood Dining Chairs, Set of 4

These are nice solid chairs after assembled. Each chair uses 4 bolts and 6 screws. A wrench is provided for the bolts and you have to provide your own Phillips screwdriver. It took about an hour to put one together. Unfortunately after it was assembled I found that the seat of the chair is almost 20" high. I wrongly assumed that the dimensions given (18 x 20 x 37) meant that the top of the seat is 18" high, which is the standard height for a standard chair. I am not going to return them after taking all the time to put one together. I will have to figure out how to raise the table an inch or two. Also the color is a little reddish, which I was not expecting in an Espresso color.

This product -- the Walker Edison Solid Wood Dining Chairs -- is very good. That of course is what I wanted when I ordered the product to begin with.But the order started out badly: I received a dining table from a different vendor, but all I got from this vendor was a refund!The refund was fine -- timely, right amount, etc. -- but the problem was: I had a dining room table but nothing to sit on, no chairs!I complained.Then, a truly wonderful thing happened: A Visiondecor Customer rep contacted me by email and asked me: "What's the problem?"Well, I explained, I have a table but no chairs. True, your company doesn't owe me any money -- they paid a refund -- but you can't exactly "sit" on a refund when you come to the table and want to have dinner.This customer rep -- her name is Camelia Ward -- reinstated my order and did a little research and discovered what had been the problem: The chairs had been out of stock and, yes, it would take a few days for them to be back "in stock".And, true enough, in a few days Ms. Ward advised: "The chairs are here. We'll ship them now."And Visiondecor did ship them. That took a few days, and I had to be away when the chairs actually arrived, but one of the managers at my condo received them; the manager had a (grown) son who unpacked the chairs and assembled them (they were shipped disassembled, which I guess makes sense because the shipping is cheaper that way); the son took them up to my apartment; and arranged them around the dining table.Presto! I can now sit down at the table and have my dinner!And the chairs and the table really do match, even though they were manufactured, shipped, etc., by different vendors (all through Amazon, which acted like a "depot" or clearinghouse).And the chairs and the table not only match; they look good too! In fact, they look just like the photos on in the Amazon catalog when I ordered them.So, the moral of this story is that Visiondecor did make a mistake -- they listed an item which they did not actually have in stock -- but then they corrected that mistake, or rather Ms. Ward did. So now I really can enjoy my dinner, and that also means that I really can order furniture from Amazon and get what I wanted -- not just books, but also all kinds of other items.And that drives down the costs so we consumers benefit!

These chairs were okay at first but after a few months they started to fall apart and break... I wouldn't buy these again for the price...

Chair is really nice looking but too tall to fit under my table with someone sitting in it. Like the other reviewer, I don't plan on returning it but need to figure out how to raise my table.

Chairs are made if incredibly light weight material and tend to tip backwards when you go to stand up from sitting in them.They do, however, match well color and height with the table.

We assembled our chairs immediately, upon arrival. They are sturdy and look lovely with our dark cherry table. So far so good! My only comment is to be aware when you order that these chairs are a bit on the higher side. I am fairly short, and my toes do not touch when I am seated. Just be aware of that when you consider what table they go under.

We received the chairs quickly and without hassle. I put together 4 of the 8 that we ordered and have the rest in storage until we move. I will note one thing to watch for...When putting in the screws be sure to use the longer two on the front rail. If not the rail will not be solid. The instructions are vague on this detail.

These chairs are very lightweight, and I would not recommend them for anyone overweight or big men or they will break

Nice light chair, about an inch taller at the seat than a regular chair (which is perfect for us). Seems sturdy enough for our use. Easy to assemble.

Nice product. A bit of a pain to put together but really happy with the end result.
