Evo Cat Food
Cats seem to like this food; however it took some time to adapt their stomach's. They usually have an issue with cranberries, but I think too much pumpkin has the same affect on their stools. I am going to try a "freeze dried" item next-as my cats do love the crunch of a dry food, but being males, I need to watch their intake because of UTI. Petsmart makes a "raw/freeze dried" cat food; with 83% protien, so very close to the ratio of EVO. Might want to try this.

The food is good for certain cats, the Amazon price is ridiculous
Updated Dec 2014 - dropped to 3 stars. The food is worth spending a little more than supermarket brands, but BEWARE and check other retailers before purchasing here. Also, be sure to check the size of the item. At the time of writing, the 2.2 lb bag is being sold at the 6.6lb price.Original review:I have two cats, ages 13 and 11. For most of their lives, they ate the better supermarket brands. For most of their lives, they also had a litterbox that was well out of the way. When we moved and had to place the catbox into the bathroom, smell became a big issue. This food solved the problem. Nothing will make a cat box smell like perfume, but when they poop it is more like a human poop smell. If you are nearby and the cat recently used the box, you can tell it pooped, but the smell is not eye-watering and it dissipates quickly as the litter dries it out. No lingering stench at all. NOTE - EVO also has a fish blend, but that results in stronger smelling waste. Go with the poultry. My female cat had an issue with throwing up. ALL THE TIME. Vets said she was perfectly healthy, and we had tried grain free before - our current vet thought she might have acid reflux. After a week of this food, the vomiting stopped. Either she was sensitive to something in the other foods (likely potato) or the probiotics in this food was something she desperately needed.Another good thing about this food is the cats don't eat as much. Apparently, the cheap food tastes great and has tons of fillers - cat junk food. This doesn't. My cats like it, but they don't gorge on it. A small bag lasts much much longer than I thought it would.4/14/14 UPDATE: PROBLEM- poop is stickier on this food than with other brands. For my short-haired cat this was not an issue at all (and he's actually more a medium hair). My barfing girl is a VERY long-haired cat, and poops were getting stuck in her hair. This was not a deal breaker for a while, because I would just grab some toilet paper and detach the waste. HOWEVER. We recently moved, and as a result both cats are clingier. Girl cat has taken to sleeping on my pillow. You can see why the occasional stuck poop is now a MAJOR problem. We switched food, and the barfing is back but the poops stay in the litterbox. Sigh.

Great grain-free food for your cat but this price is ridiculous (2.2 lbs for price of 6.6 lb)
My cat has been eating this food for several years and it made a remarkable difference in her. She doesn't shed as much as she used to and her coat is so much healthier! The only reason I gave this 3 stars is as other people have said - this price is ridiculous for a 2.2 lb bag when I can purchase a 6.6 lb bag for the same price.

My Cat Found this Very Yummy
My cat loved this and delivery was prompt. However, I purchased this because my cat was recently diagnosed with diabetes and he prefers dry food to canned food. So I was looking for a low carbohydrate dry food. Prescription Diet MD was not low carb enough. Unfortunately this EVO was not low enough either. After several weeks on Fancy Feast Classic and insulin, however, he went into remission and at least for now he does not need insulin. EVO does not claim this is a good food for a diabetic cat. I was just hoping. Judging by my cats reaction though, it is very yummy indeed.

Price is twice as much as you should pay
The food itself is great. I have fed it to my cat for years. The problem with this particular item is that it is only the 2.2 lb bag, and the price being charged is more than you typically pay for the 6.6 lb bag. It is my own fault that I overlooked the weight in the description. Pictures of the bags look the same, and because the price is in the ballpark of every other 6.6 lb bag, I never thought to look at the weight in the details. I did not realize how much I had overpaid until the tiny bag arrive at my home. You will be much better served by driving to your local pet store and paying a fair price for what you buy.

A good choice!
Great product! I mix just a few morsels with Evo canned cat food so he will eat more. This has enabled him to gain most of the weight he lost when he developed diabetes. I was hesitant on getting the dry cat food but have found it was a good choice for my cat.

My bad for not paying enough attention
$35 for 2 pounds of cat food! I thought it was the 6.6 pound bag. My bad for not paying enough attention, but I could have bought prime rib for that.RIP OFF

so i shake the bag like its a treat and just give a few morsels ...
Kitty loves it. Its too expensive to be everyday food, so i shake the bag like its a treat and just give a few morsels as a treat.
