Essential for true dexterity as a motorcyclist, but not an easy read
Understanding what is here explained is essential to achieving masterful motorcycling. Like understanding countersteering, which motorcyclists also do but don't realize that they actually do. Often they will not realize or accept it until they ride a motorcycle with a fixed, welded handlebar set. In this case, gear shifting, we have here an exercise in writting something that could also be described with video and images. If you work through the text, you arrive at a real understanding of gear shifting on motorcycles. It covers everything. It is however in need of graphics, diagrams, tables, even links to videos. Complement your reading of the book with videos on motorcycle gearboxes. It does seem this is the only book on the matter. Not surprisingly. I hope Mr. Frazier works on it to make it morereadable and understandable, not through changing the text much, but the design, visual aids, tables.

Good read for sport/track riders.
If you downshift with an instant clutch less technique, do not do it on the street in a turn! Get ALL braking and downshifting done before any moderate to fast turns or aggressive lean angles. That said, a public road is not a race track!!! Tracks are clean, smooth, have good visibility THROUGH turns, and have no cars. Ride safe.

Better and cheaper than a quick shifter
I can clutchless down and up shift thanks to this book! Also when I use the clutch my shifting is so smooth now. I really like how the author explains how it works and now I understand what's happening

Highly recommended.
This book is extraordinary: its level of clarity and in-depth analysis have few equals in the field of motorcycle books, mechanics and the refinement of riding skills. The mere fact that a book like this exists is very beautiful and positive. I would really like to thank the author for the valuable work done. If you want to deepen your knowledge on this particular subject, this book is a fundamental starting point. I would not seem too emphatic, but I'm really excited about this book. It is understood that the author, as a true enthusiast, has asked himself many questions and with a long research has found the answers. Highly recommended. I think this one is good example of a motorcycling book at its best.

I learn't so much from this book
This book is fantastic! - it thoroughly explains everything about clutch and clutchless shifting. It really opened my eyes. A lot of riders think that using clutchless shifts will damage the gearbox. I thought so too but the author says it doesn't if you do it right. The gearbox on a motorbike was made for it. Clutchless shifting is the smoothest and quickest way to change gears but it takes plenty of practice which is exactly what I've been doing. I don't normally take the time to write reviews but I think this book is definitely worth it. I highly recommend it.
