Regal Spices Palm Sugar 500g This palm sugar comes in a plastic sealed pouch which is resealable once opened. The sugar is brown in colour and granules in texture but not flowing granules like our usual sugar, it’s more of clumpy granules sugar like when your usual sugar gets damp and clumps together. This brown colour actually reminds me of Demerara sugar with it’s super sweet taste and dark colouring. The sugar is made from the sap from palm trees and not actually anything from the organic growth of the tree so it doesn’t taste at all like coconuts. I believe this palm sugar is commonly known as coconut nectar hence the price compared to general everyday processed sugar. Very pleased with this sugar and that it hasn’t got the coconut taste.

It's very tasty. It's a more dense kind of sugar, I usually buy them in blocks but this makes it a lot easier to separate and measure out. Easy to use and melts down quite well. Has a good natural sweet flavour.
