We just got a 10 year old John Deere D110 ride-on mower from a friend and it runs pretty well. I did have to work on the power actuating lever and spent some time disconnecting and reconnecting the long cable that goes to the deck with the giant spring at the top.I thought it would be handy to have a spare although I am not planning to fit it until the old one fails.The quality of construction of this power cable is very high and matches the original closely except for one detail. There is one obvious difference, and that is the finger helper at the end of the giant spring. The hook on the giant spring needs to be attached to a post slot in the engine compartment and it takes quite a lot of pulling to get it tensioned. The original has a hook at the very end, that you can put your strongest finger in and this makes it more easy to do the pulling and positioning. It is a very strong spring after all. But this replacement version just has the attaching hook, but not the finger helper, so getting it attached is going to be a road to blood blister central. Maybe I'll wear my thickest gloves and there could be some bad language but once it's on it won't break.Good quality spare part.
