Black Coal Hod Large 23" Metal Coal Storage Scuttle Bucket Holder Scooper Made in U.K.

From an aesthetic point of view it looks the part and I am happy purchase. The proof will be in the winter when it gets put to use. I may need to update then

-Liked the lightness of this hod.-Disliked that packaging was insufficient rendering item vulnerable to denting or buckling.-Liked that a replacement 'undamaged in transit" was sent FOC.- Disliked that after 3 months use handle welds gave way. Note to self: do not overfill!- Maybe rivets would be stronger?

The item on the picture is not the item I received , the handles were very flimsy and wouldn’t have lasted , the seller told me to return which I did but I had to chase up for refund !

We may have been unlucky (as ours had handles that didn’t match the photo) but one of the handles began to buckle and come loose after a couple of days of use. However, the seller responded very quickly to our problem and offered a full refund, which was appreciated.

It seems fairly sturdy and holds about 10kg of coal, which is good.Build quality isn’t great, the safety edge on the top radius isn’t properly formed, in fact I sliced open two fingers on it on day three or four, but it was my own stupid fault for not being more careful, so no big deal; just be aware. That said, I might just have got a duff one.

Handle not as depicted in photo and not suitable for weight of coal...needs to be same as picture for durability. However response from seller excellent and it was resolved very quickly.

Arrived when stated, can't say how it holds coal, have made it into a planter and am happy with the quality of the item for the price.
