Mynwood Cat Jacket/Harness Purple Adult Cat

I highly recommend the Mynwood jacket for anyone looking for something to suit the larger cat (also likely the smaller cat, but I'm basing this review on my experience). I have a naturally muscular and chunky-bodied male Bombay who weighs roughly 11lbs/5kg, which makes finding a good jacket that will a) fit him securely and comfortably and b) offer enough strength to handle him without choking or hurting him when he speeds up on a lead generally quite difficult. I've looked at cat and dog jackets and issues usually arise in that the jacket isn't strong or well-made enough, or the neck portion secures too high up on the cat's neck to be safe or comfortable enough to accommodate the strength my mini-panther can suddenly display when he races off to chase something. (Advice to new jacket/harness buyers: avoid high-necked jackets for cats, as their necks are more fragile than dogs and you risk accidentally causing harm when they or you pull on the lead). This jacket is wonderful in that it secures at a suitable point across the base of the neck, offering both security and safety for the cat. My mini-panther also happens to be a very anxious/nervous type and doesn't like being covered - possible hangover from his past life, being a rescue - and he tolerated this jacket very well around the house before being taken out into the garden (another thing I strongly suggest doing for nervous cats to reduce stress on them going through the new harness and new garden experience at once). I really recommend this item for both your peace of mind and your cat's. It's an absolutely fantastic, well-made, good-quality jacket that's well worth the purchase. Thank you, Mynwood.

Very easy to put on in spite of the fact that my cat is long haired. He seemed to accept wearing it without any fuss. Once fitted I took him outside for the first time since adopting him from cat protection and took him round the garden and surrounding area. He did try to run ahead and pull on the attached lead to this harness but the harness remained firmly in place. A great way to get the cat used to his new haunts and all the new smells surrounding him outside without having to worry. Would highly recommend for a fairly calm cat.I couldn't be sure if a nervous cat would take to wearing a harness, but this one is easier to put on than most as you don't have to pull it over the head first. He had his back to me and I calmly wrapped it underneath his head first and then under his belly. At the time I had just shown him his new cat flap and he was so intent looking at this that he wasn't concentrating so much on me putting on his harness. I had previously hidden the cat flap by putting a block of wood in front of it and then putting a heavy object in front to make sure that the wood couldn't be dislodged. Therefore he wasn't aware of its existence prior to that, so distracting him worked well for me.The harness is well made and looks very smart on the cat.

Ordered the adult size for my very-soon-to-be 7 month old Bengal kitten. The jacket is obviously handmade & lighter than I expected, but I'm delighted with it. Hyperactive kitty started in-house training today, and no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't escape from it. Glad I paid a little extra for the peace of mind of getting a harness that will fit a multitude of sizes comfortably, and more importantly, actually does what it's supposed to. My kitten's somewhat valuable (in more ways than one, bless her adorable little heart). I wouldn't want to risk her escaping only to be stolen. Kudos to Maria!

This is the second jacket i have purchased, it is for our new second cat. The jacket is adjustable and easy to fit though it may take a few times for the cat to get used to wearing it.

A great product.Follow the training instructions on the Mynwood website - they work.I never thought I'd be able to train my cat to wear a jacket and lead, but he now wears it without any fuss or bother. It's meant he's still been able to enjoy the outdoors despite a health condition which means I can't allow him out unsupervised any more. It makes a huge difference to his quality of life.Highly recommended.

Good fit for one of my four cats. Ensure you order the correct size for your cat.

A very good product, easy to use, and our cat seemed to be very comfortable in it, and because of the Velcro it was easy put on and remove but certainly very secure when on. I also liked the fact that the lead was attached at the back of the harness so the neck didn't get pulled. I am therefore more than happy to recommend this product.
