Hamma 3 Pack Carabina / Carabiner / Carbine Clip 8mm x 80mm - A4 316 Stainless Steel Marine Grade

If you're thinking of buying these, rather than some lower-priced versions, you're probably attracted by the brand name, the 5 year warranty, ISO manufacturing, and specified break load of 600 kg. I was too, because I didn't want to break my neck while using carabiners of unknown strength to hang my hammock.I got these from the seller "Swindon Watersports", and instead of the branded packet in the photos, just received 3 loose carabiners inside the jiffy bag used for posting. They look similar, but are not exactly the same shape as the ones in the advert - see in my photo the shape of the small end, and the angle of the cut-away section at the joint. In other words, I have little confidence that these are genuine, have been load-tested, and are covered by warranty.On the other hand, the quality of what I received looks pretty good, and it's possible they just changed the design from when the photos were taken. The seller says they are from Hamma, but he just buys in bulk to keep costs down.I sent them back for a refund and bought a couple of  Panoply Safety Screw Karabiners  that are certified to 22 kN, for £4 each.

Bought to hang boxes of orchids on wires from bars on our roof in West Africa, on the coast, so a hot, very humid environment, The steel itself doesn't rust but does discolour in contact with the zinc plated garden wire we use, which does eventually rust. Clips themselves are well made, spring shut, strong, and as described. Tough environment, and these stand up to it well. I'd buy again.

Quite large but then I did reckon that I was buying clips for use all around my home as well as for backpacking with. Similar in size to the type used for hill climbing, but also fit in the palm of my hand. The Hamma Carabine clips are well made and the push in opening straight bars don't flex. Good quality and well worth it if you have been let down by plastic & metal combined carabine clips. Mine have also been used outside - they're very tough and durable and can certainly withstand a lot of pressure as well as being weatherproof. Perfect. Ty for reading. (c)NR2 2015.

excellent quality, perhaps a tad on the expensive side, but very good indeed. You are definitely getting a top quality item if you buy this. it'll last you for years. also the seller was very polite and friendly in communication. I highly recommend this item. I have used it for camping and very good.

arrived earlier than estimate, well made as I often find the gate sticky and rough in operation on other carabinas these are nice and smooth will be buying more from them to replace smaller carabinas I use
