This recommendation is next to the size chart.I did that and followed as well the size chart numbers. I am a petit woman of small proportions , the medium size is quite small for me , I feel suffocated when I wear them.I should note that I washed them before I wore them as I do with all new clothes.I think that one should go one size bigger.If the large size is available, I would get that.This is my advice if you would like to buy them.
