Pawfect Pets Pet Travel Carrier, Soft-Sided with Two Pet Mats for Small Dogs and Cats (Grey)

I have a 9 year old Maine Coon mix that weighs about 16 lbs. I ordered this carrier as his last boxy one had broken. I was excited to get this as it was a soft side carrier with lots of mesh to let him see out, not to mention it was a top load carrier. I thought I wouldn’t have to struggle too much to get him through one of the side openings, I could just lift in from the top and close it.—No. Blue is a big boy and he wasn’t too happy to go in there as he could barely fit into it. He was crouched the whole time in it and I had to make sure I didn’t snip his fur or catch his ears in any of the zippers as his backside and whiskers brushed against both openings and his ears rubbed against the top until he crouched down. Once he was in it he managed to topple the carrier over several times when he tried to get out of it. I ended up having to seatbelt the carriers handles in the car as I was afraid he’d roll himself off the backseat. It was definitely a change from the old hardside one he had.Overall, the carrier served its function and got him from Point A to Point B. The mesh resisted his constant scratching to get out and the zippers have clips to keep him from nosing through and opening them but IT WAS JUST TOO SMALL. The shoulder strap came in handy as I could carry his weight better, there’s also a hard portion that slips into the bottom to support that weight but it did bow just a little. If you’re looking for a carrier for a smaller breed cat or dog, this will be perfect. Larger breeds however, I’d keep looking. I’ve kept it as we don’t travel much aside from yearly checkups so he’s not in the carrier very long, 30 minutes at the most. I asked the vet what she thought of the carrier, as she had trouble zipping it around him without catching his fur, and she recommended the same. So long as he wasn’t in there long, he would be fine.

I love how ventilated this is but at the same time he still feels secure cause it isn't all around see through like I've seen some other bags. I've seen plenty of different ones and this by far was the best out of all the ones I looked at for ventilation. We live in a very humid and hot city for most of the year so it was very important to me that he gets enough air. My 11 week old yorkie has so much room I am able to fit his 2 favorite toys and his blanket.With the mesh material he's able to see out of all 4 sides and falls asleep pretty fast since he's so comfortable. I'm also glad it came with 2 inserts in case he made a mess on one there is back up while I wash the other. Con-after 2 weeks of having this I noticed him chewing on the top corner on the inside of the carrier. Turns out there is a long hard plastic stick that runs across the inside of it at the top to keep the shape of the bag. Problem is it wasn't sewn correctly so it's sticking out. I was able to fit it back in but need to sew it. Would I repurchase if or when this is old and worn? Yes I would but next time will fully inspect before I throw away all the packaging in case I need to exchange it.

I'm moving from the midwest to the pacific west in a few months and have an older anxious kitty whose associated his metal cage with the vet. Theres no way that cage was going to work for this eventual flight to our new home. I got this bag at the recommendation of a blogger who made a similar move and used it for her cats. This bag is SO well made and we've sat it up so our kitty can get used to it before our actual trip and he LOVES it! He treats it like his own little cat bed home. Sleeps in it for about an hour a day in the evenings. He will hate it once we finally use it for the trip but for now - hes in love.

Originally I received a damaged item but customer service was fantastic about reaching out to me and making feel valued and working with me to fix this.I received it today and I love it already! It’s large enough to make my 8 lb Chihuahua feel comfortable without taking up too much space.Some of my favorite parts are the reflective pieces, the THREE openings (front, back and up top) and the way the zippers click together at the openings for added security.The top does not feel like it will collapse on my dog but seems malleable enough to be able to get under an airplane seat.My dog will plop down anywhere soft so the extra soft and fluffy bottom of the carrier makes getting her used to it a million times easier.The customer service will make me come back to this company. I know accidents happen but I was upset when I received a damaged item originally since I had my heart set on this carrier after a bunch of research. My customer service representative, Lauren, was responded quickly and fixed it the same day.

I didn't give 5 because I don't give perfect scores. On a 10 point scale it's a 9. My first carrier arrived damaged. The company does get a 5 from me for customer service! They emailed me and sent a replacement right away. They weren't sure why shipment was 3 days instead of 2, but it arrived in time for me. I love 3 openings, both ends and the top. I love the security zipper fasteners. For me, the strap is not wide enough, and the fabric is stylish, but not as comfortable as a wider strap with a non slide pad. Luckily I have a carrier that has a removable strap I can use. At least the carrier folds down, has 2 bottom pads, a tether, and excellent ventilation. I live in a hot climate, so it will be good for local travel.

This carrier is great for carrying small - medium sized animals. My cat fits in in greatly. I was worried at first because I wasn't sure if the dimensions would actually be acceptable for all airlines, HOWEVER: Because it is a SOFT CASE the dimensions are allowed to be slightly larger, because the case is collapsable and can still squish under the seat. You only run into dimension issues when using a hard case - which is another reason I'm glad I got this one!It has plenty of breathable mesh sections, but the floor padding for it is soft and comfy, and it keeps my cat warm when it needs to. All the doors / places to take out or place in your pet have two zippers with little buckles on them that snap together, so you don't have to worry about your pet being able to open the bag and escape!Overall a pretty awesome bag, considering how cheap it is.
