I like that these don't rub against my eye lashes but they do let some light in. I also think I'm just not used to them. They keep me up at night a bit. Maybe too thick material? You can definitely tell something is wrapped around your head all night.

Love this! Keeps the light out without to much pressure and room to blink!

This was packaged nicely and very similar packed like Slip items. I have a Slip mask and that is what I've compared this one to. First off this does not feel like silk to me. It feels like satin. When I cut a few pieces off the inside head scrunchie part it catches fire quickly and stays burning outside the flame, curls up, does not turn to ash when rubbed. Neither does the little silver bag that came with it. It does not smell like burning hair either it smells like feces. So as far as being silk I don't believe that one bit. Which is why I'm giving 2 stars instead of 3. I like that it's adjustable and has the "eye lash extension opening, which is much better than a flat mask in general for eye comfort. The mask itself is sewn nicely and appears well made. The little eyelash detail is cute. The little bag for storage is sewn poorly & not worth keeping. The nose part is cut to low so a lot of light gets in. Although the headband is adjustable you can not move the mask in any position at all to block the light because of how the nose area us cut. I think the price is high for what you get but had it been actual silk I'd give it 3 stars. Had it blocked more light 4 stars.

I feel as if I'm an eye mask connoisseur at this point. Over the years, I've tried more than I can remember.This is a pretty and well-made silk eye mask. I got the dark blue and it's gorgeous. The silk is thick and lovely. I will not buy a sleep mask anymore unless it has padding around the eye to lift the mask so it's not pulling against your eyes when it's on. It was one of the main reasons I chose this mask. My current one is memory foam and the padding is just too tall and too firm, so I was looking for something else. I am really happy so far. It's padded enough to keep it off my eyes, but not enough that it causes issues when I'm laying on my side like my current mask was doing.Another reviewer said the band was too long. I can only assume she missed the part about it having an adjustable strap. It's not very obvious because a silk tube covers the band. It's meant to be pushed back to expose the elastic band so you can adjust it. It takes a little more effort, but this way the band is silk and it's adjustable rather than just one or the other like other masks.The mask is really nice, but it does have a few small issues:The way it adjusts is fine, but it's where the little plastic slider is located to do make the adjustment that's the problem. It's right on top of my ear. I'm a side sleeper, so this is in the way. I've tried the band on top of my ear (which I'd prefer), but even through the silk covering the band, I can feel the plastic enough to bother me. When I tuck the band behind my ear, I still feel it, but it's not enough to be distracting. I really, really wish they'd have put it more towards the back of the band.The other issue is that it's not completely blocking out the light. A lot of masks now come with a little flap of fabric around the nose to block out the light that always seems to slip in there. I've had masks with and without that bit of extra fabric, and it totally makes a difference. I wish this mask had it. However, even without it, it's doing a really good job at blocking the light. The way it fits on my face, the light bleed is very minor. I would not stop using the mask because of it, whereas I have ditched other masks that let in more.Yes, there are a few typos on the packaging. I get that isn't really ideal if you were giving it as a gift, but it was for myself and I didn't care although I did notice it. I'm not taking off any stars for that. I care about the mask, not the box it came in.This would be my holy grail of masks if the plastic piece to adjust it were a bit more toward the back and if there was a flap of fabric around the nose to block the bit of light coming in. It's currently in my top two sleep masks I've ever used. (The other one is a cheapy, molded foam mask that bleeds dye on my pillow even after washing and falls apart after not too long, so I've had to buy it a few times. Very far from ideal.)I haven't used it enough to handwash it yet to know how it will hold up, but I'm hopeful it will if done gently. If not, I'll come back to update my review.
