Amazon Essentials Women's Relaxed-Fit Water-Resistant Trench Coat

I ordered this coat earlier this week because I needed something suitable for cool fall weather and professional enough to wear to work. I have had mixed experiences with Amazon Essentials, but the list price at the time was $25 so I figured it was worth a try. When it arrived, it was neatly folded (no concerns with creases as some other reviews have mentioned. The fit was generous but flattering. The fabric feels substantial and the quality appears to be good enough to last a few years. Curiously in the time between placing my order and when it was delivered, the price of this item more than doubled. Not sure if I just caught it on sale or if inflation skyrocketed in the past 4 days. I feel lucky to have purchased this item at a price that seems worth the value of what I received, but I don't see it being worth more than double what I paid, where it's currently priced.

I didn't keep because it was too big. At the time it was on sale which was a very good deal. Good quality and I liked color. I'm sure if I had right size it would have been great.

Came quickly, fits well. Due to thin material it does wrinkle easily and I find it hard to remove wrinkles. The color I ordered was black, and the tag on the jacket says black… but it’s clearly a navy color. This is disappointing as it limits the outfits I can wear it with. I will keep this as I do like this jacket, I just wish the black was truly black.

Water resistant , looks ok not overly flattering, shoulders are large, not much stretch.

The black is definitely grey, not black. Maybe it could pass as a 30 year old black coat that's been washed and sun bleached for decades. The fabric attracts lint like nothing I've ever seen before. And I get that's it's an oversized fit, but the small fits like an XL, and the fabric is so stiff it just puffs out awkwardly when belted. I was really looking forward to this jacket, as lame as it sounds, and am really disappointed with it.

I love this coat already!! In fact I'm buying another color right now. It's soft and light. I was worried that now I'm larger, coats would look bad on me and make me look bulkier but I feel so sexy! For reference I'm 5'4" & 170 pounds. I used to be 120 so finding clothes that make me feel confident now is a huge deal

I’m ok with a jacket being oversized but this was very boxy. Also the material was crinkly like a paper bag. I did not care for it. The reviews that say it’s huge are spot on.

For the price I paid for this I feel like I got a really good deal. I compared it to my daughters London Fog trench and it was a really favorable comparison. This trench’s material is thicker and I may have to tack the lining in the sleeves more if it stretches. It’s double breasted and the buttons are secure. I’m really happy with my purchase. Not sure how long the coat will last, but for the price I paid the cost per wear is really low.
