Toshiba THN-U363S0640E4 64GB U363 TransMemory USB 3.0 Flash Drive

I bought this specifically as I wanted a USB key that I could put onto my key-ring and which would be sturdy enough to survive without falling off. A previously bought plastic Crucial USB stick had snapped off and got lost. This Toshiba unit seems to fulfill this role very well. It's tiny, but made of sturdy metal (brushed steel or aluminium I think) and has a large loop on the end which will fit on any key-ring easily. It's survived a week in my pocket so far with no sign of wear or tear.Transfer rates seem to be OK, but I don't have good enough equipment to test properly. It runs cool, even when writing large amounts of data. It is absolutely tiny, smaller than I was expecting. I've knocked off one star as it doesn't have a LED indicator for when it's in use. I'm a geek and always "eject" my removable media in Windows before unplugging them, but for users who aren't so careful, an LED indicator will help prevent them unplugging before a transfer is completed and corrupting their data.

All My memory sticks are Toshiba brand, now...Lots of animation backups needed. The most reliable by personal experience are Toshiba.

This USB stick is quite small easy to use

Nice compact design but not too small! I always attach a key fob to my flash with contents written on it and there is a nice built in loop to do that. Don't know about durability! I have never had a problem. JD

Quick delivery, it is what it is, but I must admit it's more sturdy than the plastic versionsAlso it's quick at transferring data too and from pc etc

Read speed OK, but if you regularly copy large files onto your USB stick, go with something else.

I got the 64gb model and is more than enough space for me. I get read speeds of around 124 mb/s on single large files and that is plenty enough for me. It feels quite premium.
