How do you rate shoelaces? They’re round, long and have plastic tips. They’re kinda just like shoelaces. These do stay tied well and don’t loosen.

I bought these for a pair of tan Chippewa 6" boots that I recently bought since I didn't care for the dark brown, thin laces. I was surprised at how much more comfortable these made the boots. They have a little bit of stretch to them, so I can pull them nice and tight, and they don't dig in like the original laces did, which were thinner and stiffer.I got these laces in tan, and it's exactly the color I wanted. It's a plain tan, not cream or yellow, just a very light/pale brown. They look pretty much exactly like in the pictures. They make a nice subtle contrast with my slightly darker boots. And since they're a very neutral color, I also put them on my dark brown work boots, which looks maybe a little unusual, but I like that they are versatile.Time will tell how they hold up, but so far I'm very impressed. They seem like they'll last a while, and even if they only last 6 months, two pairs for under $10 is cheap enough to just keep buying them. I haven't found any other laces I really like to put on my shoes.Previously I had a pair of Clarks Desert Boots, and for those I bought some of the OrthoStep flat dress laces, also in tan. I thought round laces would have looked goofy on the desert boots, but the thin, flat ones weren't very durable. I went through two pairs of those in a few months. However, I think some of it had to do with the design of the desert boots having only two eyelets per side and therefore putting a lot of stress on the laces to pull them tight. All this is to say that OrthoStep seems to make good laces, but these thicker, round ones are definitely more durable than the thin, flat ones.

Was concerned about how thick or thin these would be. Turns out they were just right. The material seems to be more wear-resistant than the original laces that abraded and started looking frayed almost immediately. These seem like they should last as long as shoelaces should last. They are not too stretchy, in my opinion. No more so than I would expect from any other lace. They stay tied. I tied these this morning and at 4:30, they are still tight. These laces are just what I wanted. Nothing to get too excited about, but much better than what I had.

These are the right size for my Keen sandals. Hopefully the last.
