Some interesting history of electronic music, but a little dated.

Excellent book. Goes over everything you need to know as an electronic musician, from synthesis to artists who shaped electronic genres.

Very good book on the subject. Especially useful as a textbook for a e-music survey. Covers everything from history to technical basics.

Got it for one of my classes. While there's good info in here, some of it is a pretty dry read.

For anyone interested in Electronic Music this is a must have and must read book.It puts all genres in the correct historical and musical context and provides greatinfo about creators of the instruments as well as the music alike.

Il libro tratta della storia della musica elettronica fino ai giorni nostri, facendo un excursus dalla musica di ricerca fino a quella commerciale (anche se le parti sul jazz e la musica commerciale sono poco sviluppate).E' inoltre corredato da utilissimi suggerimenti di ascolto e anche alcune analisi (molto semplici per la verità). In generale un ottimo punto di riferimento per una visione d'insieme sulla musica elettronica.

Very useful for people who are not experts in the matter but still want to get into it in a clear and easy way.
