Dansure cassette to USB - big problems
This unit, the “Dansure Cassette to MP3 Converter” is actually a worthless piece of junk! The sound it puts out thru the USB connection is really too noisy to be usable. Also the build quality is terrible – the cassette door feels like it would probably break off within a few months of normal usage. While I was able to connect it to my Windows 10 PC very easily via USB, once I started playing a tape through the Dansure player, the problems started to show up right away. There was a loud, intermittent thumping sound at about a 5 Hertz rate overlaid on the music, when I listened to it via my computer speakers. I tried several different cassettes from different sources, but the thumping sound was there on all of them. This thumping sound may have been some sort of motor noise leakage, or some kind of self-oscillation within the electronics of the unit itself. I even tried connecting it to a Windows 7 machine with a different USB cable, but the same thumping noise was present there as well. In any event, this rendered the Dansure unit completely useless for converting my cassettes to MP3.One other thing to be aware of here – the “Dansure” branding is a bit misleading – the unit is actually made by “ezcap”, which is what the branding label says on the shipping box. It looks like this same “ezcap” unit is also being sold on Amazon by Reshow, AONOKOY, HDE, AGPtek, Momoday, ETvalley, and several others! Obviously it is best to avoid all of these ezcap units, since they are doubtless the same worthless junk as this Dansure cassette unit. The way to identify these units is a label on the product picture which says “SUPER USB CASSETTE CAPTURE” on the silver tape door.Needless to say, I am returning this unit to Amazon, since it is useless to me.

Not pro-level recording tool, but great value for average user.
The included full-featured Audacity program is easy to learn and to use and it is lightning fast. I like it better than other recording programs I used before. The tape player works well, although mechanically it isn't the best I ever saw. Lid closing is a bit flimsy, but not necessary for functioning, so I leave it open to not wear it out. Fast forward and fast rewind buttons sometimes take force to operate. However, play function works as it should, in both directions. This tape player does NOT record from an input source! Compare it to a walkman with a USB-output and headphone output.Great seller! First one I bought has intermittent problems with USB data line to be seen by PC. Seller immediately sent me a replacement and let me keep the first one, that still works well as a walkman, including power through USB (just data seems unreliable). At this point I have recorded almost 50 tapes, or about 70 hours of music and I am impressed with the performance of player and software.

Works well
Works like how it's supposed. Got to listen to cassette tapes we haven't heard in years and go down memory lane. The only thing is I received this item used. It had scratches on the back and especially the front and nowhere on here does it say whether you are supposed to receive it new, refurbished, etc. That's the only reason i didn't give this 5 stars. Other than that, this product is good.

Cassette converter
This unit worked great to transfer cassette recordings our kids made when they were little to digital format. Easy to use. My only wish is that there was more ability to increase the loudness of the sound coming into the computer. It's fainter than I would like. Output needs to stay lower or you have feedback.

Great product for the price!
About a dozen tapes converted so far with really good results. The software in it's most basic form is really simple to use and all I needed, but there are several other bells and whistles I haven't tried. I have used this to play regular purchased as well as home-recorded tapes, both 60 and 90 minute... normal and metal. I have only used the USB connection to power the unit and it works really well. Considering tapes were fairly expensive back in the day, the cost of this unit to salvage some of them, including other recordings, is well worth it in my opinion.

Software is so SLOWWWWWW it's barely usable--on my FAST computer with plenty of available memory.
Software is a nightmare to run! I have a very fast computer, but the software would not respond to ANY command without a 5-10 minute ticking clock wait!!! Unbelievable!!! I kept looking at the Task Manager, and I had tons of CPU and memory available which it could have been using. From the very FIRST command, which is to go into Preferences and select what type of recording you're doing! I have tried to read online comments to figure this out (dual processor versus single processor maybe???), but I only have an average understanding of this stuff. What I DO know is that my dream of converting dozens of old cassette tapes to MP3 will NEVER happen at this rate. And on the first tape, because the Record command took FIVE MINUTES to execute, the first two songs on the tape were not recorded!!!

Loved it. Easy to use
Loved it. Easy to use, Fairly easy directions, one or 2 things that were not quite clear, but I asked a few tech people at work who were able to figure it out which is the only reason I did not give it 5 stars

MINE DID NOT WORK BUT...
Tape readers are not aligned properly giving partial sound to one earbud. Despite the faulty product, the customer service aspect wasgreat as Dansure responded quickly.
