Mikasa Kaia Bone China Mugs, Set of 4, 13.5 Ounce

The mugs were as beautiful as they were in the picture. I was very happy with the mugs. I like Mikasa and was not disappointed when they arrived

They arrived and one of them was chipped, t did no realize they are not dishwasher safe, my other other mikasa mugs are dishwasher safe and seen to be a better quality. I will have to be better reading the description.

One of the mugs was slightly irregular at the top of the mug, not a perfect circle. Other than that the mugs are very pretty.

The media could not be loaded. These bone china mugs are lovely. They are not super fine bone china- one of my mugs has a large bubble in the glaze- the rest of the mugs are in good condition. It says not to use in microwave or put in dishwasher. As a general rule, I prefer to hand wash my nicer things so I would do even if it could go into the dishwasher. I love that these are large mugs- perfect size to me! I would recommend them!

Of the four mugs, two were chipped, another completely broken, leaving just one useable mug. But overall they are of very poor quality.

All my other bone china mugs are thinner and lighter, but the design and shape of the mug is good

Mikasa always makes very beautiful dinnerware and these are not different. The pattern is lovely and the colors are vivid and go with our decor very well. The flared lip makes sipping/drinking easy and helps prevent burning your mouth. The handle is large enough to make holding the full cup easy, because it is a bit heavier than a smaller, full cup. You are likely wondering why I gave these lovely mugs only four stars. One of them is imperfect. The bottom is not perfectly flat and so the cup rocks. That's a bit dangerous when a very full cup of hot coffee does not sit perfectly still and solid on a table. I've put that one towards the back of the cabinet and only use it when necessary. I must admit to being shocked and disappointed to see a company with the reputation of Mikasa shipping out an imperfect product. However, I still recommend these as I cannot imagine this kind of problem happens often.
