Fussie Cat Premium Pouch Sardine in gravy - My cat gobbles it up
My cat absolutely loves this food! She eats it all up. I give half the pouch of this food to my cat with chronic kidney disease as a reward for getting her fluids. I recently found out it is relatively high in phosphorus (2.24% on a DMB), so I’ve added phosphorus binder to it when I give it to her now and she doesn’t seem to notice. I probably won’t buy this again due to the high phosphorus content, but definitely will be checking out some of the other Fussie Cat premium pouches that are lower in phosphorus.

Pouch
I didn't realize these were pouches, but my cats love them. Just a bit pricey for me, since I'm feeding 3 cats.

My cat hates it.
Just like the other poor ratings, my cat took one sniff of it and backed away like it was a bomb. I have tried it four different times and he acts the same way - the oddest thing is he LOVES the aspic fussie cat food in the can, the bowl is licked clean. I do not know what is in or not in the pouches, but it looks grey, smells nasty, and now I am stuck with it. I had purchased one box of Tuna with Salmon, and the other box, Tuna with Ocean Fish, and both of the gross him out. I wish I knew what the difference was besides packaging.

My fussy cats LOVE Fussy cat cans but love the pouches a tiny bit less; good value
I've had many cats. One thing I've found that almost all cats love is a gelatinous covering to their wet food. I found this out when I first tried Fussy Cat canned food in aspic. All of my cats have loved the aspic version of Fussy cat. A big favorite flavor is the shrimp and tuna in aspic. My current two cats are no exception. They love the canned version of Fussy cat but they never eat it all even though the cans are 2.5oz so I thought the pouches would be a better option since they're easier to save the leftovers in. However, for whatever reason, my two cats aren't as crazy about the pouch version. That's how fussy they are! It's the same brand, same flavor in aspic but they turned their noses up after licking the juice. The only reason I can see for this is that the version in these pouches doesn't have the same amount of aspic as the canned version does. The price point is so much better for the pouches than the cans. I ended up bringing the box over to my boyfriend's house where we have 5 other cats and they loved it! Even my two cats that will only eat Temptations as a treat will eat this. I was happy to see that it didn't go to waste that they enjoyed it so much. It has real food in it that you can identify with your eyes. The tuna and shrimp are in large chunks that look like human grade food. The only downfall, when it came to my other 5 cats, was when I saved half an open pouch in the refrigerator. I took it out, left it on the counter to adapt to room temperature because most cats don't like their food to be as cold as refrigerated temperatures, and once it warmed up the texture changed. This happens with most cat food that I try to save after it's been opened so it's not just this brand. The aspic fell flat and wasn't gelatinous anymore and the cats no longer had interest in it. I opened a new pouch to see if they still liked it in general and they did. They just wanted a fresh pouch!

Furbies luv them🐱
They've downsized the pouch but still a great deal. Our cats luv ❤️ them. A bit difficult to get the gravy version out of the pouch. shake it up open wide and dump out. I use a plastic knife to scrape if anything left in pouch. At times I'll just cut open the gravy pouch like individual box cereal and kitties clean everything up. The aspic flavors slide rightout, just mix up on plate. Or leave the kitties know what yo do. 🐱🐱🐱🐱🐱

The food is good, but it's difficult to get it out of the pouch
The ingredients are okay: Water Sufficient for Processing, Tuna, Deboned Chicken, Tapioca Starch, and Glycine as the first five ingredients, with nothing scary in the rest of the list. I'd rather see meat, poultry, or fish as the first ingredient, but water is important too, and cats often don't drink enough of it if they don't get it from their food.My largest complaint about this product is one that I have about most cat foods that come in a pouch, and that is that there is a lot of waste involved. Unless you're willing to cut the pouch open and scrape the food into the bowl with a knife, a significant portion of it will be unavailable, as you can't simply squeeze it out of the pouch.Unfortunately, a lot of cat foods are moving away from cans to pouches in order to save on production costs, I assume, but I'll stick with the cans. Cans are much easier.

Our cat loves it
We have several older cats and few are needing special care and diets. We got a case of Kirkland cat food that had sardines in it, 1 cat liked the sardines, and 1 cat liked the chicken, but not enough to repurchase. The cat that liked the sardines kept throwing a fit until I got these for him. He absolutely loves them and has a package every day, sometimes 2. We have repurchased several times now.
