The product is definitely unfinished. Parts are very rough and need to be sanded. Also, there is a groove on each side of the inside as if a piece could be added to separate the box into sections.....but it doesn't come with the piece.....just a weird groove in the sides. Overall, you get what you pay for so $15 seems fair for this.

It seems to be like a small wine box (not quite big enough for an average wine bottle I think), and has a groove cut in the inside for the divider that wine boxes usually have (it doesn’t come with a divider). It’s great for decorating as a craft project; the long skinny size is nice. Not perfect quality: it has a couple of dings in the wood, and the lid doesn’t rest flat on the base unless the clasp is holding it shut. But it’s a good value for the price.

The shipping was fine but the actual box had manufacturer’s defects. I was wanting to use in a wedding for laser engraving and couldn’t because there were too many obvious defects including a gap between pieces.
