Excellent packing, arrived early and unbroken. Nice tiles, very translucent.
Mine arrived early and intact. The challenge was unpacking them, the tiles are wrapped, bagged, sealed and then placed in a box and enveloped by dense closed cell spray foam. The foam expands and cures making a extremely tight fitting shell for the tiles. The trick to not breaking the tiles as you are unpacking them is to cut the box away, then start slicing the foam away. If you try to break the foam you exert alot of force as the foam is rigid and grips the tile package and this force causes the tile to snap, it's real onyx with no reinforcement resin backing that you see with slabs so you can't be rough with it. It is 3/8" and very fragile. It was just what I needed to finish my onyx coffee table. really comes to life when you backlight it!Your results may vary.

AWESOME PRODUCT - BUT PLEASE READ!
I'm hoping I can help others in the future from making the same mistake I did. I believe I may have broken the tile during unpackaging. It wasn't exactly clear to me on how to extract the tile from the packaging. The tile comes sandwiched between two pieces of expandable foam. One side (bottom?) cradles the piece and the top piece keeps it in place. I saw an opening on the one side and tried to remove the tile like a letter from an envelope.. DO NOT TRY THAT METHOD! When I pulled it out it was cracked in half. UGH. I'm not a packaging expert but the base piece of foam almost seemed to have almost too much compression on the tile possibly from the packaging process? The exterior of the box and foam were in mint condition. I did not hear any cracking while attempting to remove it so I believe it was either me, the packaging or both. Just be sure to remove the "top" piece and very carefully remove the tile from the bottom piece. I was bummed and felt like I had broken a beautiful vase. The seller has a new piece on the way and was very responsive. This tile is just stunning when backlit! OMG!!!! The second tile arrived completely shattered. My belief is that this tile is too fragile to be shipped effectively.
