My Autistic daughter says hello kitty is her life. I couldn't find a round one of these, so I took a chance this square one would work for both parties. My daughter was happy and I was too. It actually did work. We purchased 2 and one was for a store bought round cake that had a hard chocolate frosting on it. I took a spray water bottle and sprayed water very lightly on the cake, and then stuck it on slowly. She wanted to keep the little strawberry and cherries on it , so I cut around them. Then, I just took some decorating icing around it, so you didn't see my crappy cuts. I just did that to pretty it up a little. I'm no professional, and it turned out nicely. Even with cutting off some, there was still room to write a name in. Of course, my daughter had to write it herself , lol. The second one, she wanted to put on top of cupcakes to take to her job. So we bought 12 cupcakes, put them in a rectangular foil cake pan, put this in top, and it fit perfectly. The frosting was softer than the other cake, so i didn't spray it. The frosting was so soft, that it kinda melted this on top of each cup cake after a few hrs. Basically, after the party each cupcake had cut out it's piece of this.I would say it lasted about 4hrs before it tried to shape to each cupcake. It was very easy to use and trim, on the round cake. The colors were not faded. They were very bright and beautiful. I wish I would have gotten a picture of the second one. We did also sprinkle stars on both. I will be buying again for sure. The price is unbeatable! You cannot find such detail just buying a cake over the counter. If you paid a professional to make a hello kitty cake, you would pay way more.As far as taste, nobody complained. I asked what everyone thought, and they all said it taste like an edible cake topper. It was not gross, or bad tasting, it just taste kinda plain. It is not sweet in anyway. If you know a hello kitty lover , and want to surprise them with this adorable edible hello kitty, no matter the shape you are looking for, this is it.

I love this it looks soo good only thing is after sitting out at room temperature it is hard to separate the cake image from the backing but placing it in the freezer for about 10 mins fixed that problem would buy again!!!

Very attractive and brightly colored .Easy to apply makes a home baked cake look like a professional decorated it.I made it for my 11 year old granddaughter who is a hello kitty fan and she loved it.

It looked like the picture, but it was really fragile, and once put it on the cake it cracked

I bought this theme for my grand daughter birthday cake. It was just what I was looking for. The taste was delicious and the size was better than expected.

I love the design, however the packaging and labeling of the product could be better when it's shipped. Especially when you're shipping something as delicate as that over the mail you would expect it to be labeled and packaged appropriately, but it was not. I should have paid attention to previous reviews but my niece loved the design and I was hopeful, but it still arrived broken for us too. We made it work because we had to, but it was a let down.

This was perfect. Purchased for my daughter’s birthday who loves Hello Kitty. Used it today and all her girl friends loved it. Came with instructions and easy to apply. This made my homemade ice cream cake look good!
