Incredible, inspiring documentary
What an amazing documentary and real-life story. In Hurst, Sir Geoff Hurst talks for the first time candidly about his achievements and personal struggles. He is most famous as the only man ever to have scored a hat trick in a World Cup Final but later found himself on the dole after a glittering sports career, nothing like the athlete paycheques of today, while navigating devastating tragedies in his family which would derail most people. Through an amazing in-depth conversation with the man himself, plus contributions from the likes of Harry Redknapp, Harry Kane, Gareth Southgate and others, it's a unique look at one of the country's most important players from a bygone era of sport.

Brilliant exploration into one of England's greatest icons
By offering an intimate look at the man behind the footballing legend, this documentary adds depth and nuance to our understanding of Hurst's legacy. We see a man who is humble, introspective, and who never quite came to terms with his iconic status.

Surprising and moving
One of the last surviving members of England’s World Cup winning team speaks openly and candidly from glory to grief. This documentary gets under the skin of a football legend and goes way beyond that one game.
