Very compact pen
I really like this pen. I like the way it writes. It is a fine point and it writes very smoothly. But I really like how compact it is but opens up to nearly a full size writing instrument. Great for smaller handbags or or even in some wallets. Closed it is 3 3/4" and opened up it is 5 1/4 ".

Perfect EDC Pen Set
I keep one stored in my wallet to sign receipts or when checking in at the doctor. The compact size it great for an edc notebook which I keep a second one with my field notes. The 3rd is in the car and 4th is a spare. The ink is perfect as it doesn’t bleed through. Once opened and ready to use, it’s extremely comfortable and not too thick. Overall great value and quantity.

Favorite pen
Love these. Only problem is people walking off with them. Solid pen and good fidget toy.

SURVIVED THE WASH!!!
I accidentally left one of these pens in my pocket and put it in the washing machine. When I found it later on, it was perfectly fine and had not damaged any of my clothes with ink. Only a couple of drops of water got through the cap, and it functioned just as great as before being washed. The size, weight, and comfort is amazing, and obviously the durability speaks for itself by standing up against my washing machine. I would have included a picture, but honestly there's no point since it looks exactly the same before going into the wash. I can't believe it!

So far, so good
I love Zebra's Collapsible Ballpoint Pen, and I own at least half-a-dozen. The Collapsible has the right size, weight, ink performance, and feel I need, and it looks really darn cool. A couple of years ago I started carrying small notebooks in my pant's pockets, and I found the Zebra Collapsible make a great companion with my notebooks. The Collapsible was small discreet, and ready at a moments notice to jot down or sketch any idea that I had, no matter where I was.Recently, I noted that while kept in my pocket and clipped to my notepads, the tip of the Collapsible pen kept poking out. The pen wasn't extended, but the constant motion of walking and sitting was causing the tip of the pen to slide out just a hair. I was lucky as the Collapsible never leaked, but living in my pocket meant the pen tip would always find a way to be exposed, and I just don't want to have to worry about getting a pocket full of ink (avoid the obvious naughty joke). So, I set out to find a replacement. Nothing ever seemed quite right--until I found the F-301. Sure, the F-301 is not as pretty as the Collapsible, and it's a hair lighter in weight, but the thickness of the F-301 is right, and the cap stays on. I didn't want anything too thin, but fortunately the F-301 isn't as thin as it looks in the picture. If I had to improve anything on it, it would be to add some more weight to the F-301, and to change it's retail packaging. The way the pen is packed for retail sale is on a "blister card" is bad, and I'll tell you why: it's important that when you buy the F-301, you open the package from the top and not the bottom. If you are unfortunate enough to pull the plastic blister off the cardboard from the bottom first, you can bend the pen cap's clip open. Unlike the Zebra Collapsible, the pen's clip is not easily fixed. The F-301's clip is metal, embedded into a plastic top that sits on the tip of the metal barrel cap. With the clip sticking out awkwardly, I tried bending, pushing, weighing and prying the clip back into place, but nothing worked until I very, very carefully used the curved part of some needle nosed pliers, to apply just enough pressure to the clip and the back of the barrel to tighten the clip back into place. After the repair, it's just like new, and the F-301 has stayed well attached to my small Fabriano notebook throughout the day.

What's not to like?
These compact Zebra pens are great. They are easy to carry. They work great. We are very happy with these. Since you get two packs of 2, my husband and I both carry these pens and have spares when we need them. Thought the price was reasonable and we're pleased with the pens!

Great compact pen
Since retirement, I no longer wear a coat and tie. My favorite business pens no longer have a front shirt pocket as a home. I still appreciate always having a pen handy, and I have a part time retirement job that requires a pen several times a day. One of these compact pens goes in the front pocket of casual jeans or shorts and is so light it is barely noticeable. Once retrieved from your pocket, it easily pulls apart to be recombined to make a full length pen with a comfortable ribbed grip. A great pen!

Good.
Good pens. If you don't have the room for tons of stuff in your pockets. Or, if you carry tons of sh... Problem solved.
