Works
My wife and I are traveling this great country in our 1994 motorhome. The refrigerator is a three power source model (110 V, 12v and propane). While going over the RV before we hit the road. I found the the refrigerator would not run on propane. The issue (I assumed) was the solenoid controlled valve would not allow the gas to flow. Being a 30 year old motorhome I ASSUMED the gas valve had seen it's better days and no longer worked. So, I ordered this replacement valve. After installing the new valve and connecting the wires this valve also would not allow gas to flow. After a few moments of looking at the gas valve dumbfounded and mentally willing it to work. I decided to put 12volts to the solenoid. As soon as the 12 volts hit the solenoid BAM gas started to flow! I tired to light the gas inside the gas chamber. But, I had no love there. So, after a few moments of mumbleing about the quality of parts these days. I removed the two sheet metal screws holding the gas chamber together and found the the gas chamber was packed full of dirt dobber ( or mud wasp depending on what part of the country your from) nest. So, after knocking off all the dirt dobber nest and cleaning out the gas chamber. I connected the 12v back to the gas valve soldoid and BAM the gas flowed into the gas chamber. I stuck one of those long nose lighters into the gas chamber and BAM the gas lighted. I had to light the gas because the automatic ignitor was also not working. After ensuring that the propane was actually cooling the refrigerator I turned it off. I found that the 30 year old circuit board (to replace it would cost a third of a new refrigerator) that the section that controlled the propane no longer worked. To fix the issue I ran a 12v power source into the refrigerator compartment, built-in a little box to hold a toggle switch and a inline fuse. Connected a power wire from the toggle switch to the solenoid and ran a wire from the solenoid to ground. Now when we want to run the refrigerator on propane. I have to go outside and open the back of refrigerator. Then flip the toggle switch to power the solenoid and get the gas flowing. Then manually light the gas in the gas chamber. Being on a fixed income I just can't see paying the price to replace the control bord or the refrigerator. Just to be able to press a button on the inside of the motorhome to have the refrigerator to run on propane. When I can accomplish the same thing by doing it manually. I know that someone out there will be scratching their head wondering how to stop the gas flow. All you do is open the back of the refrigerator and flip the toggle switch off. This will stop the flow of the 12v power to the gas valve. The valve works perfectly. I'm not mad about spending the money replacing the gas valve with a newer model. After testing the 30 year old gas valve I did find out that it also worked perfectly. So, now we have a spare Incase we need it while traveling.

Fixed Fridge During Camping Trip
My Dometic fridge would not work with propane during a recent camping trip. The igniter was firing but didn’t smell propane, so I took a chance and ordered this. Had the valve delivered to the park. The fridge was working in 30 minutes after delivery.

Fits 2003 norcold 1200 rv fridge ser # 1165597 in my fleetwood bounder
Works great, just a little shorter than original. You can tweek the gas lines a little to attach.the little thumb screw on the side has a line on it, this is a shutoff valve when line is straight up gas is off.when line is horizontal gas is on to the burner. Plugged the two wires back on,turn gas back on at tank ,check for leaks where you connected gas lines to valve with soapy water. Turn fridge to lp,should fire up within a few seconds, listen outside at burner.

Looks can be deceiving on an item
When I installed the item as with the instructions it did not work at all.The selinoid on the propane vale assembly did not function at all. I checked all connections and there is power to the selinoid assembly. I removed it and returned that item for a full refund.

Works perfect
I was concerned when I read a previous review where theirs didn’t work. Worked perfect for me. I installed and fired up first try. 2020 Solitude Norcold refrigerator wouldn’t run on propane. Definitely recommend and other than the two screws on the bottom that has nothing to do with the vendor, easy install.
