Just beware the junk you pull out of the drain may not be very appealing
These worked to clean a slow drain (hair and a pencil down the kid's bathroom sink). I removed the drain plug and twisted in around. It scrapped a bunch of unmentionable gunk off the sides of the drain... It is up to you to decide if cleaning it off is worth it for multiple use. The hooks and the rigid nature of the design grabbed hair which tangled up the pencil and pulled it all out. Cheap solution for a slow drain. Just beware the gunk you pull out of the drain may not be very appealing!

Single use items, does the job
I'm only reviewing the orange plastic snakes, not the weird metal one. They do the job. As in, they unclog my disgusting hairballs from the shower. I have very thick unprocessed long Asian hair, so the buildup is monstrous. Like, potentially sentience-gaining monstrous. Not to worry, though! I just wiggle one of these inside, and every time I pull, it's like the drain-cat's coughing up a hairball. Yuck. After three or four pulls the teeth are gone and the snake gives up the ghost. So that's one hairball extracted per each snake. They are not reusable. Okay, maybe you can reuse them a few times if you don't have my problem, I don't know. All I know is that they're cheap enough and useful enough that they'll be a mainstay. After all, apartment maintenance likes to wait weeks for "emergencies"; how the hell else will I survive?

Worked great. I spent about five minutes using it to ...
Worked great. I spent about five minutes using it to fish gunk out of my bathtub drain, which was pretty gross but necessary, after which that sucker ran clear for the first time in months. For what it's worth, I didn't even have to remove the attached stopper; just threaded it through. Some people say that they've had their snap off, but I had no trouble with that. I do agree with others that, despite the claim that you can clean the thing and use it again, you're probably better off just throwing it away after you use it. The teeth do kind of break off in the process of pulling out that slimy ball of hair and crud. But hey, it was less than seven bucks for six of them.

Gets the job done.
Worked well at getting the yucky clog out of the bathroom sink drain. It does take a few tries, which is not biggie. Be patient. And be aware in order for it to work it will bring up some of that slimy hairy clog after each try. I had paper towels ready when I went at the second drain. Great solution to avoid having to squeeze into the cabinet under the sink to undo/redo the trap. Made the hubby very happy.

Works Like a Charm!
Okay, so I wasn't really expecting much for six bucks -- especially since my bathroom sink hadn't been draining particularly well for months, and now was barely draining at all, even after using Draino and Liquid Plumber. But I figured for six bucks, it was worth a try. Unwrapped one of these plastic things and stuffed it down the drain, pulled it back out, and it was covered in hair and gunk. Cleaning it off wasn't easy (or pleasant), but I used a paper towel to get the worst of it off, and then inserted it again and swished it around a bit. The second time, I had a bit of trouble getting it back out and worried it would break off, but eventually it pulled out. I did this another 4-5 times, each time pulling out gobs of hair and black gunk. And then I ran the water, and it drained perfectly! Quite a miracle product, took all of five minutes to use, and for the price, it can't be beat! Definitely cheaper than a plumber! I went through two of the six snakes (the drain was really badly clogged), but still have four left for the next time I have a clog. Great product, highly recommended!

These actually work!
My sink has been draining slowly for months. My husband explained it would need to be taken apart, etc., to fix. He’s a busy man, and I knew it was going to be a long wait. I ordered these because I thought they MIGHT work. When I put it down the drain, a little hair came up. I proceeded to go through allfour holes in the stopper. Some hair came out each time, but nothing like the picture. I was disappointed, and rinsed out the sink. It was draining! Just perfectly! So, in summary, don’t think it isn’t working just because it didn’t pull up a huge amount of hair. Apparently it pulls out the clog, no matter how big or small, and it fixes the drain. In minutesI’d give this six stars if they had it. This is a miracle product

Versatile, inexpensive, and eco friendly!
I use these for a couple of things. I’m on septic so I don’t like using chemicals in my drains unless I have to. These make clearing my sinks easy and I don’t have to pay $$$ for Drano that only half works. It’s super gross but so satisfying to pull out the black cruddy hairy clumps. I keep a plastic bag close by to dispose the disgusting things.I’ve also found this works really well to clean out my vacuum cleaner. Look I live with three very hairy dogs and in the spring things get dirty and gross and my vacuum works overtime. When I lose suction I run this up the tube and it competently removes clogs of hair and dirt.
