its prague powder aka pink salt for those confused
Sadly like all of the prague powder/pink salt manufacturers, no one ever plans for people that do very small 1 lb batches of things. Its quite possible with this stuff to use to much and thus get yourself very ill. So use with caution, weigh everything, including how much of this you are using. Its certainly in a more convenient container, and that I like. The product always works well, and at least for me its far more cost effective to buy this online as in stores that carry it in my area its 3x more expensive for the same amount.

I only need a little bit.
For me, this purchase was made because I didn't need 10 years of curing salt. Price was important.

Perfect for making jerky in your dehydrator
This amount of curing salt is pretty much going to be a lifetime supply of what I need to cure meat as jerky for my dehydrator. 1 teaspoon is enough to brine 5 lbs of meat. This is equivalent to Prague powder number one with 6.25% sodium nitrate so it is suitable for wet brining of raw meat to prevent botulism contamination of your product.
