The MAXTTRAC Mosquito Attractant is a highly effective lure designed to mimic human skin scents, significantly increasing the catch rates of mosquitoes and other blood-sucking insects. Attracts plenty of moths, just no mosquitoes
I bought these extras when I bought the Mrs. Mosquito unit. After using the octenol that came with the unit and we only caught moths, I swapped that cup for one of these new cups thinking the original cup might be old or expired. More moths. I think I saw a mosquito trip and fall into the fan, but that is the only mosquito casualty after 3 weeks. We've had the unit in 3 locations for one week at a time, but the result is the same.

Works in Dynatrap
Followed the instructions and poked holes in the top before placing it in our Dynatrap bug catcher nand it seems to work well. It has the same strong smell other mosquito attractants have had and we haven't noticed a ton of mosquitos so far this spring.

It works!
I'll admit, I was skeptical. BUT... it definitely works! Prior to using this, I was mostly emptying moths and gnats out of my mosquito trap, but after a week of put this inside, the trap is full of mosquitoes. Seems like it's already put a dent in my local mosquito population.

Pkg has ONE 30 day lure - but it works
From what I see, the lure and mosquito catcher actually works. It's not strong enough to do our entire acre property of course, but it's fine for either our back patio or the front garden. The lures themselves are simple little 'pots' that fit into the lantern-like machine. Only issue we have with them: is they easily fall out or go flying if the lantern is knocked over. There's nothing to hold them down into our lantern other than gravity. The lures themselves do not have much smell. The lid is easily removed. Just be sure to wash your hands well after removing the lid, disposing of the old lure, lid and bag. No complaints, seems to work just fine. There's only one lure in a package, and the lure is only rated for 30 days... so it's a bit expensive for a year's supply if you do the math.

Seems to do something
This hasn't completely solved my mosquito problem, but I do feel like it helps. I don't notice them around me as much since I put this out. That might be coincidence but if this is mimicking a human body then I figure it gives them something else to keep them busy. And if they get close enough then the trap will hopefully get them. One thing, make sure to open this outside. It does have a smell so I wouldn't want this open indoors.

Seems to work well in my dynatrap.
I have a dynatrap fan based mosquito trap. I put this in the catch bin and it seems to be working. Mosquitos are an absolute plague on humanity, and all animals for that matter, so products like this are a must-have. I also recommend getting some of the many indoor bug zapper/trap products. My favorite is the 'racket' based zappers. They look like tennis rackets, but the net part is elecrrified, and it has UV lights to draw mosquitos to it, and it has a base and battery to free-stand and protect you anywhere in the home. Search fir that product for indoor, and use this product for outdoor. Never use lure scent like this indoors though. Mosquitos already have too much incentive to sneak in, plus, the scent of this stuff is strong and unplesant. Don't open the package inside, wait till outside first. Enjoy.
