Poor design poor function. Expensive!
First before I slate this product a bit about how good salt pipes actually are! The benifits of salt pipes are truly amazing if you use them regularly. Chest infection, colds or alergic reactions, hayfeaver etc., irritation from general polution - all are eased and frequently completely cured using a salt pipe. That chesty cough which antibiotics still hasn't shifted - a week using a salt pipe and you won't be going to your Dr for antibiotics again - if you start using it at the first sign of trouble it will shorten the symptoms by half or more or it will never get going in the first place, either way you will be better in no time, want to avoid taking antibiotics altogether, reach for your salt pipe as many times a day as you can manage atleast morning and evening till the symptoms have gone. This makes a good case for using one you can hold in the mouth, it is preferable to one of the heavy big pipes, as you are far more likely to use it for longer and more frequently..... sitting on the buss or train on the way to work in the car, whilst reading a book, watching TV the oportunities are endless. The large pipes have to be held in the hand which is restrictiong if you have stuff you want to be doing! So now all we need is a good design - bamboo may be..... they are making eco cups from it! Anyone out there fancy getting some into production? Now about this product - Looks good but performance is poor at best. Hard to remove the caps on either end, there is little to grip on to owing to it's size and shape and material. ok if you have long nails to prise in between the joint, an elderly person would definately not manage to get the bits apart. Because of the uniform design you don't know which end to open for the function you want... this is anoying as it is trail and error and often you end up opening the entire thing by mistake and spilling salt everywhere, also though difficult to open, if it should fall on the floor it beaks open immediately and the salt again spills everywhere. Silly little pack of minute replacement felt flanges which will be lost by the time you want to replace them - also very fiddly to do. Not easy to keep in the mouth whilst using, so you have to hold on to it as it slips out and moves around - might as well have a big salt pipe for that and save the world from more plastic!, My last one (a different make) could be held in the mouth a bit like a pipe leaving your hands free (still plastic though) , so you could get on with doing something like working on your lap top whilst using the salt pipe. This product is expensieve and useless. I would dearly like my money back as it is not fit for purpose, I have chucked the box and marked one end with nail varnish so I can see which end I needed to use. Will give it a try anyway and see what happens as an item is supposed to be fit for purpose and it definately is not. When will someone decide to make a small ECO salt pipe that works?

Unimpressed
It was late arriving. The instructions were in a foreign language diagrams unclear. Have yet to try it. Wondering what the petal shaped pads are for.
