Stays Put. Doesn't Slip.
These are the only socks I wear when I work out. They do not slip down. I like that there is a "left" and "right" sock which I believe is why they fit like a glove. I've used them for years. Great.

Keeps feet dry
Great socks! They don’t slip off and keep your feet dry and blister free. Walking around 8+ hours at Disneyland and no blisters or wrinkled toes.

Great cushioned, wicking socks to wear with running shoes
I’ve been buying this brand for many years and they are my go to, especially in the thicker padded version that these are. I do think the sizing runs a bit small as I am normally a 6 1/2 and definitely had to go with the medium.

This is it
Alright - so I’ve spent far more time than I’m willing to admit looking for “the perfect” socks. As someone who does between 30 and 50 miles per week (mostly walking on pavement and hiking on trails), I’ve found that socks are truly as important as the shoes you pair them with (speaking of shoes - make, medium to wide foot - ON is the best, but they don’t last very long). The number of times I’ve finished my walk/hike limping due to blisters on the back of my ankle - I can’t count. My requirements when looking for a sock:-No show-U or v shape foot opening-Something on the back of the heel to prevent the back of the shoe from eating your ankle-BreathableI have tried all the popular athletic brands - both technical and non technical socks.I considered bomba, but ultimately chose these (and have not tried bomba).I forgot to say - most of my walks/hikes are with a 20-40lb ruck sack. When i started my first ruck in these socks, it was 100% apparent that I’d made the right decision. Here’s why: all mentioned required characteristics (above) were met, without exception. Additionally characteristics that I love: medium thickness sock (as opposed to super technical - super thin). The medium thickness really helps the overall feeling of stability - and it also prevents the sock from moving in your foot, which is a big deal.Minimal roll top heel - while yes, heel protection was part of my needs, I wasn’t aware of the variations in terms of what’s available to achieve this. I’ve seen fairly robust “roll top” heel protection on socks - but I’ve not seen the “minimal approach” - which I would say is what this is. Think of like 2 or 3 pieces of fabric stacked on top of each other as opposed to an actual puffy roll - it’s not super noticeable, but on foot, it works magic.Lastly - the fact that these literally do not move on my foot. I’m so used to socks crawling under my foot over the course of the walk/hike - but these simply do not move. I don’t have an explanation as to why this is - but it’s a fact. So, yeah, $40+ socks. I was skeptical too - but here I am, writing a freakin sock review that’s gone on for way too long for a pair of socks.
