Yes, collar was loose. Epoxied first thing. The width stamped on the haft and advertised is NOT 3mm. Mine measured 2.03mm at largest width. Amazon and it’s sellers should truth in advertising laws.

The good ..Sturdy blade, just the right length and shape.The not so good ..Dull out of the box, find diamond and strop madeit great!The bad ...It was so sharp I drove it halfway through my thumb.Overall great product!

This is a nice little awl. Just the right size and super sharp right out of the package. Would but again!

The little metal collar at the top of the handle fell off right away. The awl itself works fine though.

When I ordered this "Sewing awl" I was expecting a different size of the ones I have bought in the past that have an eye at the point and let me sew a chain stitch as I punch the holes...This is merely a STANDARD awl. I can use it to make the holes for me to THEN sew the pieces of leather together using a separate needle and thread. It does that job quite well, but it is NOT a sewing awl...

I am new to leather crafting and got this awl to help with sticking some scraps together. It makes the job much easier.The quality seems good and I enjoy working with it.
