have lady friend in Bunnell,fl. with 1985 Monte Carlo, freon leaks out as fast as you put in. found leak very quickly on over pressure sw. on back of compressor. getting new one . item works good.

I received this April 29th. I finally got around to trying it June 5th. Put new batteries in it and it wouldn't turn on. Tried 3 sets of batteries and it would never work. Of course, the window to return it closed May 29th. I guess you get what you pay for. JUNK

I was not having too much luck with the UV die kit to locate a leak so I picked this up. Once you tare the unit to the outside air, you are able to bring the unit in while your compressor is running and start running down the lines to detect where the Freon is leaking from. The audible beep alerts you when gas is detected making the troubleshooting easier. Great tool to have on hand when accuracy of locating the problem is a must.
