3MTM silane glass primer, primer to improve the adhesion of VHB adhesive tapes and films on glass; Material: plastic bottle; – Volume: 1L; Adhesive bound on glass that are subjected to high air humidity or frequent contact with water and can be infiltrated through moisture. This affects the strength of the bound. A treatment of the glass surface with the silane glass primer solves this problem in the following applications: • Gluing of flap glazing bars made of plastic, metal, or varnished metal to glass panes • Gluing of the letters to window panes • Gluing of glass in both kitchen and bathroom • Tint films on perforated edges. Easiest application: • A clean, lint-free cloth (e.g. a disposable pulp) with silane glass primer. Apply the primer very thinly in one direction to the surface to be glued. Important: Wipe dry immediately with a clean, lint-free cloth as above in one direction. The silane glass primer is transparent and should not tarnish or discolour the glass surface. If the glass surface is too cloudy, it means that too much primer has been applied. In this case, the primer should be removed with a suitable cleaner (isopropanol) and re-applied in a thin layer. Place the adhesive tape within 5 minutes. Application: The surfaces to be treated must be clean and dry and should have room temperature (approx. 20°C). Assume that all surfaces are contaminated, and that even fingerprints may affect adversely the adhesion. Slight impurities should be removed with a suitable cleaner (isopropanol / water).
